in Rift

Sitting here waiting for my email which MikeB had us subscribe to in the sticky.  While constantly checking the main page, and the contest didn't pop up till 11AM?  No email either?  Why do I continually keep getting screwed?  Anyone else having these problems?

    I just read about the extra 100 keys only to miss it.

    But I have 3 keys attached to my rift account and didn't get anything.

    Oh wells.

    Well seeing as the keys were gone in 4 1/2 mins i'd assume a lot of people.

    this 100 per day system is so silly, people are just making new accounts each day and getting multiple keys

    I understand the fact that they went in under 5 minutes.  Guess I'm just butthurt that I've been waiting since 5am this morning sitting here refreshing.  FML

    Agreed with Monkey.  The keys are selling from upwards of $50-$80 dollars on several RMT sites.   A lot of them from the same person. It really makes you wonder.

    Yea, I've been on refresh mode since I woke up, went to take out the garbage and bam they are gone by the time I get back in.

    Day 2 Keys are gone bro.  After the first troll post this morning and now this.  Trion is just pissing people off right now.  I know they are laughing at us, and this is crazy it's 100 times worse than Black Friday.  An all out ridiculous frezy, that is driving me insane.  /ragequit

    Also leaving 2 posts up with the exact same title, one being the official and one being the troll post.  Screwed many people out of legitimately getting a chance at grabbing a key.  Well done!

    Why not create a contest about Rift information?

    No, its just easier to award them to people with no life who constantly hit refresh all day long and have no intent on playing the game. They want a free trial at best but more likely will post the key on E-Bay or somewhere and try and make a profit.

    And by the way, if you think I am bitter, I am not. I already have my key and have had for a while.

    I just think this whole "first posters thing" is rife of laziness and abuse and Rift, as a game, will suffer due to this type of key distribution.

    In addition, the fake thread is still up and has been for several hourse after being reported. If MMORPG.com is going to do something as simple as this to distribute keys, at least take the fake thread down as not to confuse people.

    Zam has a contest up similar to what you ask there.

     

    I too have a key already have done for some time sadly its not a VIP one so no guarantee on participating in events :(

    It s really pathetic how they re giving these out. I can t beleive all the people who obviously created an account just to get a key.

    100% agree with you Elidien, especially on this point.  Well said on everything else as well.

    While they are getting lots of advertisement without spending a dime, it really will affect the Rift community overall negatively.

    I know it has already swayed my view, and I haven't even played the damn game yet.

     It s pathetic, and I ve sent an email to them regarding it. I got up for 15 mins to have a shower because i m home with a cold today, get back and boom gone. This is fair how?

    Hahaha, I did just get a good laugh though.   I just now recieved the email alert at 11:31AM,  holy smokes.  Let this be a huge warning to anyone who is trying to use this system to help them score a beta key.   It's flawed, and will never work at the rate the keys are going.   Just a heads up.
