WoW just chewed me up with the gank system, how is guild wars treating you

    I dropped WOW when I worked out that they had not finish the design of the hunter class.

    Been there before (UO, EQ, DAOC, SWG), it always sucks.

    Now looking at GW - rumors are that Rangers suck, which is an improvement over them rocking until they are the most played class and then getting nerfed into oblivion.

    I cant stand WOW anymore, thought it was a good game in the beginning, but now, i dont have the strenght to continue play it, as this isnt a real MMORPG i will play this until something better than WOW hits the market, like vanguard or Dark and light, whatever my friends decide to play

    To my own surprise, it seems that hordes of people are leaving WoW for Guild Wars. This of course doesn't mean that they won't go back to WoW, but the interest in GW on that side is immense, inspite of what the WoW Fanboys would like you to think. I've been keeping tabs a little amongst friends, and the results are surprising. Entire guilds have been desimated due to the GW release. To be fair, I think most people are leaving WoW because they are pissed at Blizzard, not because Guild Wars is such an uber awesome game. It will be interesting to see how things develop, but for now, GW is enjoy its time in the sun as the #1 online RPG out there.

    Strange.. I've seen people try out GW and drop it pretty fast. Not saying it's not a good game, but I can't see any "major" migration. People like to try out new games.

    Always seems to be that there's this one player type that gets a new game, grinds it for a month or two and quits in exhaustion, complaining about lack of this and that. Then they get the new one, and the grinding starts all over again.

    people like to try new games, but they will go back to WoW, right now, GW hold the best pvp rpg out there. people are waiting for battlegrounds and its taking way to damn long. the honor system did little. once battle grounds is out, WoW will DEFINETLY reign again UNLESS battle grounds suck.

    i love the fact that GW has many game types and tournaments and ranking system. i wouldnt be surprised if you see this game on CAL or TWL. especially when they make new expansions (hope we get like 6 more classes, shit loads of new quest and items, new story line, bigger world, PVP buildings, and a good idea on a diffrent post i saw, combat mounts)

    I'm one of those people that migrated from WoW to GW as well. I find both games to be thoroughly enjoyable, but I probably won't be going back to WoW. Why? Because Blizzard totaly pisses on its customers, and this is not to be encouraged. Hard working people pay them to play their game on a monthly basis, and they repayed us by either ignoring our suggestions and pleas, or by responding with arrogant aloufness. Bad idea Blizz, you've just lost a shit load of customers. Even high school kids working at McDonalds know that the customer is always right...

    This is definitely the place for those that are moving from ganking and the $15 bucks/ month. Personally i think it has more to offre than WoW does.
