i dont care what game it is. Anything SOE touches turns to shit the second they touch it....

EVERY GAME ive EVER played that SOE has touched....has gone down from that point on in vision and what happens live.

I view SOE as a repugnant troll that needs to be beheaded

Well, i maxed every crafting class, and 5 other adventure classes in VG. They still ruined the game, you obviously dont know it wasnt even a Sony game in the first place. They bought it, ran it into the ground and will probably kill it or attempt to turn in into a F2P. I'm almost 50 years old, plz try not to act like you know everything about everyone from one comment on a forum.

Thats just the point.. you wouldn't have been able to max any class in vanguard had it not been for SOE.  The game was unplayable in beta while sigil had it,  and was released in that same sorry state.  If it wasn't for SOE the game wouldn't even be playable to this day. Its the one redeeming factor SOE has in my opinion after what happened with SWG.

SoE actually was VG's saving grace. They pulled it from the brink of death and put it on life support. Sure, they didn't put a lot of effort into it but they kept it from dying. If you want to blame anyone for VG's failure you should point your finger at Sigil. I don't blame SoE for not putting a lot of effort into a game that was a direct competitor to EQ2.

Not just that but they fixed a lot of the problems,  the node issues, the class balance, the world glitches, the chunking, OH GOD the chunking.  All of this was still prevalent months after the initial release,  until SOE bought it and made the game bearable.

lol I didnt mean to offend you Talger, Iknow the other dev crapped out the game.. and Sonly bought it, I played the game for a long time, I have a 50 on the game and it was fun.. It just seems that they are not trying to dev that much on the game or they are milking the sub's for money jsut as they are doing with planetside

  • TalgerTalger Member UncommonPosts: 5

I dont get offended.....It was just my opinion, everyone deserves their opinion. I've played EVERY SOE game, usually with 3-4 accts (wife/kids). I still regard EQ as the benchmark for all MMO's. 1000's of dollars in monthly subs later, I think some of the management needs to be removed/replaced. They've had some great devs over the years, laid most of them off recently actually. And altho SoE did make it more playable for a while, it was still management decisions that drove it into the ground. I've heard arguments that the economy was to blame...........but Wow not only survived it EXPANDED greatly during the same time period. I didnt play WoW, but am jeolous that people have at least something to play, and i dont. I'm looking for a new home/game for my family and I. I'm putting all my eggs in one basket currently.................Rift! (formally Rift:planes of Telara. I truely hope everyone finds the game/home they want. But for me, SoE will not be involved im my future. sorry for ramble.

From many of the interviews they've said that not all options will be available at character create.  They said many of the items you will be able to find and integrate into your costume.  I like that idea.  To me it seems like they'll keep things flavorful instead of having all of these same costume pieces you've seen time and time again,  making the same general costume format.

I like the idea of saying "Wow, what is that piece you have there?"  and they'd say "Oh this jacket? I got this from defeating lobo on a quest".  It gives you something to look forward to as far as costume creation and visual character progression.

Also the graphics and art style are more appealing to me.  Go figure. Jim Lee.

Gosh, Bruce, glad to see you back in your classic costume! (As opposed to the ugly new one of Batman Inc. *shudder*)
