I'm pretty damn tempted to buy GW.

Come on peps, get your marketing heads on and sell it to me.

    LOL!! :)

Depends what you are looking for. This game is a distraction for me from the headaches I get from Blizzard at times. I do like WoW, but not the way Blizz is getting about it and always have a "second" MMO to jump to. :) I think that its a good game if you want to just play for a bit every day and not worry about keeping your crafting up-to-date with your "adventuring" levels... and since there is no monthly fee, its worth a try.

You know marketing has it's nice catch phrase, but I have yet to find a game that makes me think of a good marketing catch phrase.

I have bought this title and do have fun with the solo aspect. Adventuring is a fun part of the game, the quest's are fairly easy when it comes to solo, but I am lvl 8 and still in Pre-Searing. I like the fact that you get your own private map to adventure on if you are not in a group.

I just feel that this is a fun RP game.

Well i played at the beta weekends and pre ordered after the first weekend of play, cos i liked it so much. Since retail, and i know its only been a week, i must say its the best type of game in this catogory that i have played.

And im not going into the issue of if its a MMORPG OR NOT cos i dont really care.

I find crafting boring............it has none

I hate Paying a monthly fee.......It has none

    I hate campers/spawners.........It has none

Basically it has all the things i dislike about online games removed and a few other things removed also that some peeps like, But all in all IMO, I think its brillant...!!

Sold. imageLoL    I hate Camping  and woundering if the mob you are going to is spawn camped.  I was debating with myself if I was going to order it or not and those 3 lines put in a nutshell some of my main gripes about MMORPG's.  C ya in game.

I'm really sorry, but it bugs me to death that you punctuated "tells". "tell's" = Tell is.

Back on topic. I'd get it. It's certainly a nice experience.

This is CreativeName's fancy schmancy sig. Let the 'ooh'ing and 'ahh'ing commence... Now.

Seriously, is it really necessary to nag people about minor grammar issues?  Did you realize that you created a sentence that isn't grammatically correct?  "Back on topic" is not a sentence.

Anyway, I do agree that GW is a fun game.  It's technically an MMORPG, but it's in reality a blend of Diablo and a classic MMORPG.  Diablo certainly had a place on my shelf and so does GW.  I think in the end it will be the PvP that brings people back.  Even if you do get bored of creating new characters and have explored everything and had your fill of PvP, then at least you had an enjoyable couple months of free gaming.  Heck, I finished Doom3 in about 2 weeks but I don't consider it a waste of my money or time.

    Just ordered. image

for me it will be worth it simpley for the fact of no spawn campers or camping.  and the fact you can get a NPC to team with you and solo if you wish .  Even if i do get bored of it in the long run say a year or 2 later I will still be able to come back and actually be able to log in and see what new content is like unlike most MMORPGS.

Well, it wasn't going to take a lot to twist my arm.

The complete lack of negative posts here speaks volumes.

Now ... Are Gameplay the exclusive UK distributor?

I'de love to be able to pop into Game tomorrow and pick it up. I'm not the most patient of shoppers and I hate the "will it / won't it arrive when they said" online shopping lottery.
