Dawn of Fantasy Fail? mmo hybrids

Ive been looking into hybrid games more like a mmofps or mmorts but supposevly this is going to be on xbox 360 too, saga online looks like its got really bad graphics so i havent tried it. but i loved the idea of shadowrun and games like crimecraft, Fallen earth only it was not pollished enuf using like pipes and lawnmower blades as weapons. come on if i wanted to play with junk i would go to the dump!

last but not least play safe

    right on dude.  i feel the same way, if i wanted to beat up hookers with baseball bats, i'd just go downtown! and if i wanted to play in a post-apocalyptic world, i'd just destroy the world!  reality 4tw!

    Not saying that i didn't like the crafting system and some of the game but even in a post apocaliptic world you would have better gear like hockey helmets and chainsaws.

    Well... in FE you pretty quickly switch to real weapons  - not that I think rakes/lawnmower blades/whatever junk is actually a problem! -  I am pretty sure after a couple of hours you have access to "real stuff" (by the time you reach half of S1?)

     

    In most fantasy MMOs you also start with fists or sticks and stones, maybe a dagger/club, and don't have access to "Superior Sword of Ultimate Destructive Endurance +5" right after leaving the tutorial...

    I liked the makeshift weaponry in the early stages of Fallen Earth, it helped to infuse the desperation of the time. If you were to emerge in a post apoc world, I doubt very much that the first weapon you would find is of decent quality and mass produced, it will be a rusty pipe that you picked up, a wooden plank, even a bit heavy branch to use as a club.
