VIP emails sent.
Yes, that's right! The first batch of Beta Event 1 emails just went out! 
But I must let you know that they are going out in batches. It will take a while for them all to go out. So give it at least until tomorrow night before you panic.
I will make a post when all emails have been sent and we will address any problems then. But for now, sit tight and watch for your email. And make sure you check those darn spam filters!
Update: 10:12 p.m. PST
I posted further in this thread that all the emails have gone out for tonight. We will start sending batches out again tomorrow. That's as much as I can tell you right now and I will give you an update tomorrow.

I in my own mind am a VIP, but what does RIFT consider as a VIP and how do i check on the beta page if I am one?
The past few weeks they had contests on a bunch of different MMO sites where you had a chance to win a VIP beta key so you can participate in a few beta events they have planned.
You can check your account at their website to see if u have an keys tied to your account.

Smitty88 already gave nice answer, but forgot to mention that if you have VIP code entered to your account it will read "RIFT_VIP_BetaKey1" (or something similar) in the description of your serial code.
Edit:: You already answered while I was writing... "RIFTWatch_Beta_Invite_Key1" is not the vip code. It is the one you get if you register for beta on their website.

Bummer! Was hoping to play an MMO that doesn't suck for a change.
I got my VIP key from Massively so I am good. It was nice to see that though in this forum instead of all the usual gloom and doom whine posts.
There is still a good chance that Rift is going to suck balls.

I've got my hopes up for it due to it being based on Palladium lore. I'm a huge Rifts (book RPG) fan.
I tried like crazy to secure one but came up short, did score 4 non vip keys but doubt that will do me any good.
Congratz to those that got in please hammer away at it and help make it a better game.
Also, it's a beta so people with your attitude would most probably be the first to go "OMG Gfx and client are not optimised, game runs like crap and it's full of bugs QQ"
I won't feel sympathy for Trion if that would to happen seeing the way they chose to handle their beta.
