I got some questions( confusing about the new CU )

justincagejustincage Member Posts: 22

QuestionA

Im a Mswords before this CU. now my combat level is only 54. Im confusing about what's the level really mean.   Level 80 is the max level which play can get . so, need i master two elite professions then i can get level 80 or the level just depends on how many skills you have learned.

QuestionB

Melee fighter

you see,im a Mswords. so what 's the best combo profession with it?  i wana be a good damage dealer for soloing on dant. ( im thinking about  tkm pikeman or fencer combo with swords)

Range fighter

how about cabineer after this CU

it seems range figher can output more damage than melee fighter after this CU, right? image

Looking forward to your reply !!!

    2 master fighter professions = level 80

but also dabbling in several fighter professions will gain you level 80 , but you have to have a few full trees in other professions so it adds up to 80.

As Master Swordsman you have a damage output higher than most ranged combat professions, as you are a designated damager dealer and only rifleman and commando are comparable to your role. What you lack is the ability to put states on targets (root, delay, dizzy, knockdown) and a bit more defense. For the first part  mixing with pikeman (ranged equivalent = carbineer) is quite popular these days, for the second peope still like TKA for its meditation, defense, tanking and natural "armor". Espcially as TKA now needs some 2h sword prerequisites (a la Samurai training).

So .. if you like melee, stay melee and you will still be a tough b$st$rd.

    Have fun

I just came back after they implemented the CU, It looks like my character is now level 5? and I can't equip any armor I used to be able to wear.

I can't even equip bone armor. Where do I get the certification to wear some armor?

Actually I don't think you can ever acheive level 80 without 2 mastered professions. From my observations I could have equal amounts of skills but more in the novice area and I was only say level 58, but once I took and moved as many of them as I could to elite I was level 60. I didn't play with it enough on TC to really know for sure, but from what I am seeing you get more points for elite skills then you do novice. So you could potentially be maxed out and not acheive level 80 unless you have enough elite skills. Just a casual obervation at a glance though.

Armor certification now comes with levels and your profession. I don't think any professions can wear armor til they get novice in atleast 1 elite profession. I know my almost novice carbineer can't wear anything yet. Work torwards one elite novice profession and you can get back into armor.

Hmm ... not so much testing in how you gain combat levels until the first real new players level up.

All we veterans are respecing existing points and usually go for 2 masters ...

I am now Master Smuggler  Pistoleer 0004 Marksman 0404 Brawler 4000 Master Shipwright Artisan 4000 ... and I am level 60. I am gathering data about it ... we will see.

    Have fun
