hi i wanted to buy this game next year and i have some questions. i read the information on the official site but still have som questions about the world etc:
first off i was also amazed to hear that it has no monthly fee.
this creats the question: is there a live support? is the world growing? (updates, more items, more monsters)
without a fee how could they manage it? i mean a company doesnt provide a game to satisfy theconsumer but rather to make some real profit. if they keep the server running how can they get along with the variable costs?
second question:
how exactly does the world work? k when you go to a quest with your party then you are in ur own world. but when you just kill creeps alone are u in the same world with antone else? can u run around and meet other players like in a normal mmorpg or are u always in ur own world but can make challanges against each other (like diablo 2bnet). this would be some kind of disappointing for me since i havent really played any mmorpg other than linegae 2 for half a year and i really love meeting peopel in the wild, trade and talk etc....
can someone help me out?
sry for being such a noob but evryone was a noob once
thx to those who help

1. All updates are streaming, they can and do change things often (new quests, etc). Most of the new content will come with expansion packs, but not to worry, the initial game is LOADED with content. Which brings me to why they can afford running the game without a monthly fee.
A) The network code running this game is brilliant. They've segmented off all the players so their servers are rarely if ever overloaded. Lower server maintenance costs.
They plan on releasing expansions ever 6-9 months.
2. Instancing. To be honest I thought I would hate instancing in this game because I didn't really like it in AC2, AO:SL or any other game that uses it. However, it works well with GW. The towns are really hubs for activity and you'll spend a lot of time in them. So you do spend a lot of time interacting with other players.
No live support, but you can email them with complaints(such as players names, offensive issues).
They plan on releasing explansions every 6-9 months to compensate for the lack of a monthly fee, which is actually cheaper than paying monthly for an mmorpg.
All questing areas and missions are in instanced areas, so no you wont be able to meet anyone randomly in the environment. There are towns, where you can meet people and join groups/guild/trade etc. Also there are preloading areas, so to say, before missions to sell any loot obtained in missions before and to get a group. Its a fun game but its not really a comparable game to most pay to play games. It's worth playing and it's a great side game for anyone, i like it because it doesn't absorb me like so many other games out there.
Hope this helped you out, need anything else just ask.
