This "many classes" to play will all be gone within a month when the theorycrafters figure out the best in each case. Sad but true, it's all about the numbers.
Honestly guys, who cares if the ladies look the way they do. If gonna let something this minor overshadow a potentially wonderful game then by all means just don't play. There are other people who think nothing of it and even some women themselves who like it. So koreans like to show off the beauty of women, big deal. The art style is wonderful in my view and would love to see more of it, The battle system looks very fun, and lot about this game is unique from typical MMOs and think it deserves at least a trial run. And after that, if you dont like the game then move on. Thats all there is too it.

I agree, if I'm not being pedantic about it, the game looks great and the actiony combat seems interesting.
I just wonder if despite attempts to Westernize the game, this endeavour will always be limited due to the Eastern sense of aesthetics having a more limited appeal to Western sensibilities, unless, like another poster, you are much more knowledgeable/familiar concerning the cultural difference?
Of course it's splitting hairs going at length about this as the gameplay is the important thing, but still as you say the portrayal of women and different sensibilities are quite divergent, at least I find them to be so and that's more or less the point about discussing the art unless technical achievements (unquestionable imo) are mentioned.
Talking art and graphic quality and style Tera has all opposition clearly beat.
Its frankly superior in almost every way. It issue is that it may seem too clean/clear. But this is the good side of the spectrum to be on.
Anyway Game looks amazing , its style is impressive, best looking mobs in an mmo, and its animatiosn look fantly the best i have seen also.
Not it might be an awful mmo, but graphicz itz gotz.

Stunning visuals. If it plays as good as it looks, this is a winner.
Ken Fisher - Semi retired old fart Network Administrator, now working in Network Security. I don't Forum PVP. If you feel I've attacked you, it was probably by accident. When I don't understand, I ask. Such is not intended as criticism.
The graphic quality seems to be high, but the eastern style don't like me too much. I really don't like the almost nude and exagerated curve females in eastern games.
Yea I would say the graphics quality is quite high.
Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...
The female is wearing a frigging dress and high heels lol.Does that look liek a game that designed the art style around a THEME?It looks liek a mess of stuff thrown together.
Where did she get high heels and dress Victoria Secrets ?lol.
For the msot part the artstyle is not creative,it is VERY typical of what you expect from Korean gaming, these guys have changed nothing.Even the animations are the same, herky jerky movements.
The only difference i see in NCsoft and usual Korean gaming is they tend to normally use bright colours like purple/pink/yellow,where as NCsoft and these formal employees of NCSoft go more fro a gothic/dark look but still using the same artstyle just darker colours.
You can really see the similarity from NCSOFT and TERA,there is a huge contrast from them and say Blizzard games or Square Enix games.
Do i like the art style??I think sometimes i do,but i can like any art style if done right. It just gets tiring when i see a developer or devs from the same nation copying the same artstyle, even Blade and Soul looks identical.IMO it is more refreshing to see some change, show a new face of creativity, other than changing the colour palette.

I hope the prudes and puritans stay away from the game, so I can enjoy the game better.

Dude the only MMOs I play are Eve and world of tanks. I havent played with a game with a human looking confine in years, do you know why?
Its because I care about gameplay; visuals are a great thing after all the action is over.
