F2P Halp.

PwnedSidewayPwnedSideway Member Posts: 60

I've given up on finding a good F2P game that has good PvP. So I am now looking for a F2P game with really good PvE. I don't want to be put in a position where I HAVE to spend cash to play. I don't play enough to justify that.

Waiting for: Earthrise, SW:TOR

Ill do my best on this tell me what you think of the list once you read it:

Grand fantasia the game features many differnt bosses and instances much like wow but the bosses are really hard at times and sometimes the f2p crowd doesnt understand what to do.It always has guild boss which offer you guild points you can spend on exp increases for guild members and things like that you can get a bulletin board and things like that with the points. The guild bosses are huge and take a long time to kill but are a lot of fun i used play this game a long time ago and was a guild leader and had a fairly active guild.

    Boss video:

    Theres also runes of magic:

    Allods:

Maplestory its f2p and all pve but kinda of kidish:

    DDO:

All these games are pretty good i like Grand Fantasia the best but allods is also very good I feel like runes of magic always runs kinda of strange but that might just be me.DDO is good to their all pretty good just tell me what you think. Hope I helped.

If your going to ban the trolls please for our sake ban the Fan Boys too.

Stay away from maplestory if you want to be grinding countless levels to try to kill one of those big bosses with 40 people. Those are for the people who play day and night and are able to achieve the mesos and levels to participate in that kind of PvE. Been there done that.

Try Uncharted Waters Online. It is sandbox type game set in historically accurate (for the most part) 1500's. Mostly nautical battles. You do have a character though that you can run around with and what not.

Reminds me of Eve online, FFXI, and EQ.

It is a great pve game but also has open PVP in certain water (kind of like eve high/low sec). You can become a pirate and what not through pking, pretty fun.

Pretty much the only thing in the cash shop right now is exp boosters. You can spend 15-20$ and get a month long 30% exp boost for fame/skills/class and also 30% sailing increase.

also it just came out about 2 months ago (in the west) so you wont be far behind everyone like in those other games people mentioned.

I hate starting in a new game that has been out for over a year. Economy is usually ruined and hardly anyone is doing low level content.

If you do decide to join up my name in game is RindonTheRed. If you put it for a referral You get a 5 or 10 day boost to exp/speed after you hit combined level 10. I also get something but after a few recruits.

A great pvp game in my opinion is League of Legends. It isn't technically an MMO but it still a great on line multiplayer game.

It is actually in the game list or you can just go to leagueoflegends.com to check it out.

WoW is a pvp focused game? I should stop playing games now then.

Count me in with you, rmason

Darkfall is PvP-incarnate if you're looking towards PvP in MMOs, but it's subscription based if I'm correct. As for F2P games... I can't seem to pull in any good ones, so I won't start with "innovative" recommendations (since some of 'em I've tried just doesn't play well in my hands).

Wait till next year, like some of us, and see what's up for grabs. 2011 seems to be chock-full of promising MMOs.

At the moment I'm not looking for P2P, but sometime next year before I head off to college I will be.

Also, I will be checking out: Aika and Uncharted Waters Online.

As for Allods, I thought that you basically had to buy certain cash shop items to be competitive in PvE and PvP. Same thing for RoM. Used to play both btw back in closed beta.
