That is damn awesome. The monster designs are amazing. Finally, I will have the feeling of beating something other than big furious boars.
Yeah great screens, a tank with his ridiculous looking pole and the female in her g-string swinging two swords.
G-string? I didn't notice. I couldn't see past the high heel knee boots. That must make it tricky to swing those swords with any accuracy.
Girls can do anything in heels just to let you know :] ..

The screens as always look great.. I'm still not convinced about over-sized weapons, but thats a minor point in the overall scheme of things.. My money is ready to give this a whirl...
I think some need to look up definition of the word "preference". You want lemmings, fire up a console.
Half-naked women in high-heels wielding 60lb swords in each hand, Demon defenders who use pole-arms that won't fit on your monitor screen without an aerial view, and a female mage holding a 400lbs staff in nothing but a short skirt while going toe-to-toe with a 1 ton beast . . . it sounds like just another far-out, left-field, let it all go "hack-and-slash" knock-off with really great graphics and a subscription.
Hey, these game sell, and it's hard to complain about hot women who get their adventuring on in Victoria's Secret armor. The graphics look great and if I were to come to find out that the game has a lot of lore and storyline depth for it's cheesy and shallow armor and combat appearance, I'll at least download and try the game (when that option is available for free).
Until I see video's of game-play and read reviews post-launch, I'm fairly confident that this just isn't going to be my type of game.
@Battlestorm: There not exactly hiding the gameplay videos....if you are in doubt as to whether it will be your kind of game based on the gameplay videos either at the site or on Youtube...then it isn't for you. it really is a pure action combat game, no tricks. You really do have to have decent reflexes and you really do have to move around. Standing in one place will get you killed...well, except maybe players filling the tank role.
This game is about sexy, over-the-top, and reflex testing action combat. The men of some races have some pretty audacious and sometimes revealing armors as well....its an equal opportunity objectifier. Diablo, Final Fantasy, WoW, Anime, the Sci-Fi channel, and ancient western mythologies all are being combined to make a game that could easily be the bastard child of a Victoria Secret's catalogue and a Hollywood action flick.
I mean, don't get me wrong, I have no idea if this game will be successful....but its a video game. Complaining because of sexy art and big weapons just sounds so ass backwards when you consider the violence that is in every one of these games. Its okay to pretend to decapitate people but its not okay to pretend to be carrying a sword twice your size? lol. Its okay to pretend to burn people alive but its not okay to do it showing cleavage. Seriously? I mean, I get it..its about personal preference and that is fine...but most people aren't complaining about it like its a "preference", they are complaining about it like there is something wrong with people who like half naked women. If there is, there is something seriously wrong with me.

@Battlestorm: I didn't mean for that post to sound like its totally aimed at you. just the first paragraph. I am just venting a little because its getting old....this whole "OH! There is a TERA article.....let's go bitch about the cleavage!" Its like reading a WoW article and sometimes the first person to post is a WoW hater. I can't figure out why people who have either already stated their opinion a gazillion times before or have absolutely nothing NEW to bring to the discussion even bother to read the article, let alone comment.
Well....all that and I haven't had my coffee yet. I should know better then to post before I have my caffeine. It isn't like my post brings a whole lot of "NEW" to the discussion either.
Oh, you are WELL justified in your venting. Same old same old rants about some girls showing cleavage and ass, eh? I'm no feminist, and I for one LOVE to flaunt what I'v got, but it seems to be the ones that complain and moan all day about such trivial things are either, 1. homosexual, 2. fat girls that are overly-jealous of some pixels, 3. fat, pimply, pasty, mouth-breathering, 40 year-old virgins that hate their lives and all things sexy, or 4., blatant, hypocritical trolls who masturbate to pornography on average 3 hours a day and come to gaming forums just to get off being a jackass.

wow.. you just destroyed your credibility by insulting everyone who has a different opinion on this game than you do. Polite discussions are nothing for you I guess.

This is my kind of game.
I have to say I'm pretty tired of the „naked chick with giant sword“ argument too. It's perfectly valid not to like the art direction, just as WoW's art direction or SWTOR's art direction is not to everyone's tastes. But on every thread about TERA, there is someone bitching about it and it's getting annoying. No one's forcing you to look at the screenshot or stare at her chest. If you hate it so much, why not stay clear of Tera and go to whatever game you like? It boggles my mind why some people spend so much time posting such comments when they are not interested in a game. I can understand concerns or criticism, but with artstyle, it's subjective, you like it or you don't. No amount of whining will change the art, so it's safe to say that the game is not for you if you find it so unappealing.
Okay, personal rage finished, I love the artstyle so far. Look at the male armor...it looks awesome. The weapons that I've seen so far look great too and don't get me started on the scenery. No, graphics aren't everything, but TERA's beauty certainly makes me interested in trying it out. Thanks for the screenshot, please post more once you can.

I love the lack of knowledge here, with people saying that really big sword and such.. It's a lance people! They're supposed to be big.
