Gotta disagree with the Undead being on the list. I love those character models and I think the "datedness" of the WoW rendering engine makes them more endearing. Then again, I've always been anti-realism when it comes to video game graphics.. I'm put off when things look too real.

Do you guys remember the troll and ogres in the original art of Everquest. /shudder I was running in oasis and I had never come across a female troll player and as one came running towards me I jumped in my seat and ran the other way then I realised it was a player. For awhile I was flabbergasted why anyone would play such a hideous thing.
Frankly I'm sicking tire of elves.....high elves, wood elves, blood elves, dark elves, light elves, elves on a stick, elves off a stick.....!@ elves everywhere, I'll take a orginal race over static elves anytime.
I nominate most of the races in Mortal Online and just about anything that uses the mixed blood thing. They win hands down because not only are they oogly but you get full frontal oogly lol.
Hah the Rodians remind me of when SWG was new and many folks were secretly scrambling to find significant others, those ugly aliens were always stuck flying solo. I even remember some guys who couldn't get there own rl wives to marry them in game.
but yeah, to call this game Fantastic is like calling Twilight the Godfather of vampire movies....
I was actually in a guild that in eq2, and the guild leader was always spouting death to froglocks. I personally dont like they way they rendor and the stupid NPC talk with "Hail to Thee".
However roadian from swg, they were cute if you took time in the caracter select.
And how can anyone hate on anything from WoW? Overall, the graphics and animations work very well. Low poly, sure, but that's exactly how they were designed.

I rolled a Gnome warrior just for this effect - only to find the massive 2 handed sword which was about 6 foot long on a human warrior was scaled down enormously for the gnome.
Only character I played in EQ was a Froglok Necro. I loved that toon but yea, he was damn ugly. Got called fish face all the time playing my Inconnu Necro.
In some cases you have to love the ugly ones because you have to have an underdog to feel for in a game. Gnomes are not ugly but just stupid. Little rats. The Ogres and Trolls in EQ2 are terribly ugly but hey someone has to play them. I like frogloks but they make me dizzy when i move around with them on my bog screen. So I would rate based on looks and maneuvering. Happy Gaming. God bless.

I loved Sylvan in DAOC. They made a 'wood elf' that didn't have to look cheesy and...unicorny.
I Disagree with all of it. Well, except the DAOC Shar!! But than again i dont really like ANY of the daoc character models that much, either....

thank god someone mentioned eq1 ogres.. i remember the first time i ran into one of them in-game i thought they were atrocious.
Well, DAOC really was more about gameplay rather than graphics, so its understandable that they have so many ugly character models.
Didn't agree the choices of WOW's Gnomes and Undead, I liked both of them (even if I thought gnomes were silly looking)

The ugliest race I have ever seen is the ridiculous Lallafell from FFXIV.
Going to have to respectfully disagree and ask where are the ogres and trolls of EQ1 or EQ2...

Can't say I agree with any of the choices the author made. I actually like most of those. My list would be something like:
Inconnu - DAOC (They look like alien-squid babies)
Draenei - WoW (Almost like a bigger Inconnu but with normal sized eyes. Maybe what you'd get if an Inconnu and human had a baby)
Troll - EQ (makes the WoW version look pretty)
Ogre - EQ
I don't have a 5th that is just standing out in my mind as butt ugly. Hard to remind when you haven't played some of these games in a long time.
