Hey gang, first post here. Long time mmorpg player. 3.5 years on DAoC. Played EQ, Meridian and a taste of a few others. Currently playing EVE and while it's a nice game I think it'll become my new Master of Orion game. aka my I'm in the mood to play something that requires minimal thinking but looks pretty game. Since I'm not into pvp Guild Wars and WoW are out. EQ 1 was way too slow in recovery times to be fun. Spent too much time sitting. DAoC had the best overall combat time to med time mix I have played so far. BTW I played on the co-op server. I like good storylines and quests. Any good mmorpg's that aren't pvp heavy? Hear MEO will have no pvp but god knows if/when it'll be released.
Thanks in adavnce for your thoughts.

You may want to follow the Gods and Heroes series that MMORPG is featuring this week. The game is pretty quest heavy and today there's an article on God Powers. Yesterday they talked about quests.
Quote: 1250 quests the Gods and Heroes team has planned to be in at launch. These hundreds of quests are divided into three types: Rome Quests, God Quests, and Epic Quests. The Rome Quests are those that you are duty-bound as a citizen and hero of Rome to complete. The God Quests are those quests that affect your favor with the gods of Rome. Epic Quests are a bit more extensive and help each Hero of Rome fulfill their Epic Destiny; this feature is that which the developers hope instills a sense of purpose in Gods and Heroes. The grand arc of each characters Epic Quests are meant to give your play experience a sense of real meaning, something thats been notoriously lacking in many other MMORPGs.
There's also new playable races, characters, and monsters already planned. You should go over to the Gods and Heroes board and check it out some. It may be your thing since you like quests.

Hey Vevi,
Just gave CoH a look. Honestly forgotten it due to what a friend told me about it. Serious repeativity. Doing the same mission over and over. Reading the review here says the samething and also mentions City of Villians will introduce pvp. The review was old so not sure if CoV has already been implimented. Looking at your sig I can see you play CoH alot so give me a review from a fan of the game.
I grew up with the first Xmen. Reading my brother's original comic books. Back when their costumes were yellow with the X across the chest. So playing a superhero would be fun.
The asherson's call 2 expansion is out starting today. I haven't made it in myself, but preliminary reports suggest that it runs near flawless now, and hunting is now faster paced and more fun. I'll post more when I learn more.

Hey Falcon,
Asheron's Call 2 does look good. Will look into it more and I think I will go that route. Thanks for your suggestion.

Yeah repetativness is the downfall to this game but, I have learned that with MMO's it is who you play with that makes it fun. I try to Role play as much as possible and have fun, also it helps that higher levels can sidekick you so you join in on the higher lvl content. CoV is not in beta yet. But the DEV team are commited and responsive to the community and do work hard to make the game fun! They just launched the 4th free update that has PvP in Arenas, as well as More Asian Costume designs. I know you can pick up the game for cheep online, and I would recommend trying a month.
A Tale in the Desert 2, but it requires thinking.
I got the asheron's call 2 expansion this morning, and I have been playing it for hours. It's really great. Monsters have all sorts of new crazy spells (but so do players).
All I have to say is,. If theres no open PVP/PLAYER KILLING,then its not pvp heavy.
An so I solved your problem,. 90% of the games are non pvp heavy,
Thanks guys,
Roomie is playing GW and seems to be enjoying it. And while there is pvp it is not as over the top as I feared and since there is no monthly fee it's fairly cheap to try out.
CoH does look good but I think I'll wait till CoV comes out and see if it removes some of the repetivity.
Asheron's Call is only losing to GW because of the monthly fee and I may end up going that way anyways after playing GW.
Thanks for all the suggestions
