EVE Online: 2010 Holiday Ship Revealed

CCP Games has revealed images and details for the 2010 Holiday Ship. Called the the Concord Echelon, the new ship will roll out to all players on December 14th. The ship's description also comes with full instructions how to redeem and claim their ships.
Constructed in secrecy, the Echelon is a minor masterpiece of engineering, integrating otherwise incomprehensible Sansha technology into a frigate-class capsuleers vessel. The advanced cryptographic processors on board provide superior hacking capabilities for use on most known password-secured devices. However, the true beauty of the Echelon is in the adaptive synchronization of capsuleers and Sansha codebreaking components, creating a system predicted to give capsuleers an edge over even the strongest of the Nation's encryption locks.

Since the full expansion is not here, how do you know that. Right, you don't know that the ship is useless. Have to love people who jump to conclusions without having a clue.
They released the fitting specs, so yeah I do. I had both "clues" and didn't need to jump to conclusions.

Amazing, you actually don't get it, do you? They usually make these ships useful in the expansions and since we won't see the main part of it until January no one will actually know if the ship is useful or not till then. My guess is that you will need the hacking skills for some of the new instances.
I bet you good ISK that it will be just fluff and as such next to useless.

Anyway, the ship is out, and it only has 1 medium slot just like the dev blog said, and it's completely useless just like I said it would be. Amazing, you actually didn't get it, did you?
I like any new ship that is released in EVE but unless it is something that can be mass produced and be put on the market it is just gonna end up fluff and sitting in someones hangar. People will want to blow one apart just to add it to their kill board if it is something unique. People are not going to risk losing a ship if it is not something that can be easily replace. Thats why T1 is still used extensively. Although I suppose if your megarich in ISK it doesn't matter.
