My biggest gripe is even though there is lots of content there is no depth to that content. The Lore is shallow and weak tbh, no real strategy or tactics to PvP just pack hunting. Very good game, the most polished game on release, but too short-lived as it is too easy.
Let's hope WoW doesn't breed a generation of lazy shallow gamers.
Well I only just stopped my account, but more for the reason that it just got dull. I think this is more to do with the fact that we have all been over the ground covered by WoW many times. If WoW was released like 3 years ago Id probably still just be quitting now becasue it would have been really good 3 years ago... now the switch from DAoC to Horizons to EQ2 to WoW is just like a blur of the same game....
Like I said in the post I just put up just then.... why the hell does anyone want any more of this ?
Im really worried that DnL, D&D and Vanguard are just gonna be more houses on the same street

For me it is boredom at endgame. I have 2 level 60 toons plus a ton of alts. Why I made the alts is because I despise the endgame. One can only go on so many dungeon raids and pvp..but then again that is pretty much any other mmmorpg's endgame too. ( I love WoW but yes it is finally getting boring after 10 months or so of playing it (was in beta too).
I agree most with Hashman and Razorback. This game is like a highly polished remake of EverQuest minus the immersion, IMHO. Nothing really new or innovative but still fun WITH my friends. If my friends were not playing I would be gone in a heartbeat I'm afraid.
Originally posted by Falconoffury I find it funny that you have the option of too solo friendly. I haven't found the mmorpg that was too solo friendly. Most are too group dependant.
Any class can solo to 60 with ease. Some faster than others but still. I think the fact that most people are enticed to solo all the time kind of kills this game. A lot of the times it feels like a solo consule game in a MMORPG environment. But at the same time I wouldn't want it to be like FFXI where grouping is a nearly required for anything.
-boring characters due to low customisation when creating a character, and talents dont dramatically effect your character. -people only group for instance raids and pvp, but not for leveling. I use to be a big fan of soloing in mmorpgs, but I hate it now after WoW. -soloability killed any sort of possible community IMO. I knew my guild and thats about it =T -polished version of same old stuff. The game was never really exciting because it felt like other mmorpgs ive been playing for years.
I really tried to get into WoW, I reactivated my account twice (I thought theres gotta be something im missing with this game!) But each time I reactivated I logged off after 30 minutes.
I have a friend playing WoW, and I have been trying to convince him to get Asheron's Call 2 for months. I'm finally starting to get through. He said he will probably quit WoW within the month.
My #1 reason is why start a new game that doesn't offer me anything new? They might so some things better, but other games have more PvE and PvP content. In order to drag me from one game to another and go through the process of starting over in a new game at this point then a game would have to have something ground breaking and for like of a better word 'awsome' to it. WoW may or may not be an improvment to existing fantasy mmorpgs, but it certainly doesn't offer me any reason to start playing it.
I voted for "too easy". To be more precise, the game doesn't need any skill. Spells and skills are not fun to use, killing a mob doesn't need tactics, it doesn't force you to THINK. That's my biggest problem with WoW
Originally posted by Falconoffury My biggest problem is the lack of character customization. Talents don't change you by much. You could have at least put "other" in your list.
Thats the problem I have too. Also when WoW levels your character for you (in terms of Strenght, Stamina etc..), I just feel like it isn't my character
I dont know which one to pick exactly when I think the game is too much Quest based. And no its not the same if you grind on mobs, If me and my friend both start at the same time, and he runs quests and I run on mobs only, he will always be waaay ahead of me. And I dont think that should be that way, I gotta admit I'm tired of grinding on mobs, but in this game I really missed it, and waaaay too much walking.. Cya in an hour Ill walk to ya, no take the griffon, argh fuck I dont have the other link "NICE ONE" Well just my opinion like it or not dont care, that game is waaay too $|-|1t for me :P

My biggest problem, but this isn't limited to WoW, is a rather dull battle system, it is ok at first but later on killing things becomes a chore rather than being fun, but like I said this really isn't WoWs problem as much as it is a problem with MMORPGs
Don't you worry little buddy. You're dealing with a man of honor. However, honor requires a higher percentage of profit
lack of character development and the most fun class in the game is also the most boring as 50% of the game is rogues, ive almost solo all the way from 1-40 and i almost cant find a reason to logon...at least 24 is on tonight (at least is better then grinding/crappy quests WOW)

I also hate it when projectiles fly through solid objects.

That's not the same thing as being too easy, but that's my vote.

i believe the problem is its just not innovative. and too much of the same old stuff from DAOC, EQ, UO and all the other games that went before it.
but it has the best economy ive seen.
