What is a good MMORPG for you?

First of I'm sorry if this has been posted allready, Im still really new here So I thought I wanted to be a part of this entire community by giving my thought's on a good mmorpg.

A good mmorpg for me is:

A game that call's on you while asleep, a game that you just can't write /logout in. A game that really got many oportunities such as proffessions, crafting, items, missions, PvP enabled = 1. an overall game with alot to do and not just "grind grind grind" the same mobs for weeks to get the exact proffession you desire. Although I do know that grinding is needed, It's needed in Real life aswell but still a game can hold alot more than that. What do you think ?

Haha.. people I think people play that because they like the word. FREE! But I cant say anything bad about the game because I never played it.

Eve-online has the best game play I know.

World of warcraft--lots to do TONS of quests and PVP

Final Fantasy XI--just starting but seems awesome

Guild Wars- PVP and amazing graphics and Questing to boot

Everquest 2--lots of quests state of the art graphics great community

any of those 4 should keep you busy happy and poor

Yea maybe but why? I would like to hear from people why they think the game they think is a good mmo is good. does that mamke any sense hehe? I mean we could all just say a name, but that doesn't explain to the other's why we like it and what it is it got than no other got, stuff like that

Basically the people you think like guildwars are poor little 13 year old kids who require the parents cc to play any other mmorpg. Also they coming out with a lot of expansions. Hence you'll still spend a good deal of money.

Oh also btw guildwars is not a mmorpg its a corpg . My favorite would be Everquest I or WoW.

For me, the game that makes me feel Im in a "world" and not a "game". The best game for me so far has been EQ1. There is no instancing*, and each zone have a varied "mob level". So if you go to a new zone, you can never be sure that all mobs are between lvl 15-20 etc. Many of the newer mmo:s have a solid "game" feeling, where areas are designed for a specific level range and instancing is more of a rule that an exception.

Only two right now that do anything for me- Eve and Saga of Ryzom.

Everything else is just stale. I haven't tried MXO since release, just in beta- so it might earn a spot here, too

I agree on that one. Starwars Galaxies is a great mmo. FMy first mmo to be honest. A friend of mine introduced me to it bout 3 years ago when it was in beta. he had beta acces and he didnt really play it so he gave the key to me so that I could enjoy it. I gotta admit it's the best mmo ive played yet so far and I played for like 2 years after beta and I've played games like, EQ, LA, AO, EVE, WoW, MxO and none of the can beat SwG if you ask me. Though I think at some time they started ruining the game with their updates, for an example I did not like their update where a camp where added, This way all could start on becomming a jedi really easy. And before you knew of it no matter where you looked jedi's were all over. Before it was like when you saw a jedi "OH MY GOD, SCREEN SCREEN SCREEN" and you had to tell all abou it, Cause there were like 3 on a server and it was really rare to see one. people whinned about the system "holocrons" and they had to do something and therefor the new system came and ruined it all. If you go in now you see jedi's all over and that's not really how it's supposed to be, If you are a SW fan and have seen the movies or read some books, you know that there'll never be so many, take sith for an example, There will always be 2, no more, no less, a master and the aprentice. yes it would be shitty if there would only be room for 2 on every server, Im not saying that, Im just saying not ever 2 character should be a jedi/sith. that's just my opinion

if you ask me MxO is not something to cheer for. I was in beta aswell and damn what a failure.. Im a huge Matrix Fan and I dont believe they've done it good enough, not even near. But then again maybe it's cause Im a grinder, and Grinding in MxO is one sad thing. It's a good RP game though, If you are into that. I just can't roleplay online and be serious the same time.

EVE Online is the best mmorpg i have played..
WoW was fun but after a while you feel like everything is a bit monotonous..
Lineage2 was very dull.. slow lvling and the economic suxx (you have to buy money on ebay to get the armor you need)..
