    Archlord - It has too many server problems. Add item duping to that. image So if even in korea it has server problems, what more if it's released internationally?

    RF Online - great game. but caught up with WoW madness. they didnt offer distribution as for now because they experienced server problems. they want to fix it before offering distribution (english). it was supposed to be imported by a company in the philippines but it wasnt available at that time. come 3rd quarter of 2005 maybe they will offer distribution for english.

    Both sound like great games.

    Ionicwings - interesting info on the servers and item duping - any links I can go find out some more information on it?

    I wonder why it takes so long time to make the games to english..
    It's just ot translate ::::35::
    Can't they stop to torture us with their fantastic games!
    And why can't they use english from the beginning so that everyone can play ..
    I mean, they learn english in asia so why don't make use of it?::::19::

    We shall all die in vain.. you decide how!

    If there were a dedicated company doing the conversions, I don't think it would take much time at all. However, the game would then have to be run on its own server, because the original game would have language problems between Korean and English, for example. Gamengame does a service such as this, where they import games. I also suspect that's what happened with the case of RYL.

    They may be "great" games, but you also have to remember that the asian mindset (there's a market for school girl's used underwear in Japan for Chrissakes!) leads to different styles of games and even play. That style may not appeal to most americans. Hence, not alot are brought over.

    Lastly, try telling the average american they should have to learn Chinese to play a game, or any software for that matter. It's their market. The liberal side of me (even though I am actually an anarchist) says that English is not the be all and end all. It's just a language. It's not superior because we americans speak it.

    In any case, I hope more games are brought over as you stated.
