Does anyone know what is going on at Mythic Entertainment? What are they working on at the moment?
I read a few months ago they were hiring people, but since then I haven't seen a thing.

They are maintaining and updating WAR/DAOC and consulting on SWTOR's PvP.
There hasn't been any indication anywhere to suggest they have a new product in development and I doubt they will any time soon.
I played WH during beta and a few months after it went live. Its amazing to see all the changes that have taken place. WH was a fun game, but just didn't have very much sticking power for me.

Doing their best to ruin Warhammer with 1.4. Typical ill concieved changes to their own game.
Sadly I think we are witnessing the dissolving of Mythic. Bioware has been given nearly full control of Mythic, and probably the only thing keeping the Mythic name alive is that EA wants to keep the original creator alive for Warhammer and DAOC. I highly doubt we will ever see a new Mythic project, and more and more employees will be moved over to EA Bioware the more Warhammer and DAOC lose support.

Ughh, just reading "EA Bioware" makes me cringe... (l like bioware; EA not so much)
Mythic is just a studio for EA/BioWare, they no longer have any of the people that brought us the classic DAoC or even started WAR.
It is no different to any other development studio, it just happens to have the same name as a one proud independant developer. But I don't think EA is at fault for Mythic's state, you can't blame them for the crap that is WAR, that design was a failure before EA even came on board.
the majority of the master minds behind DAOC werent present in WAR, just the Mythic frontmans that did nothing but PR back then. all the development talent left the building years before WAR was released.
Though the name still exists I'm fairly certain that the people working under it have been amalgamated into the ranks of Bioware or anywhere else EA deems fit. I believe they've been reduced to nothing more then manpower and highly doubt that there are people brainstorming ideas for future up and coming titles by Mythic. I'm sure the employees have ideas but they are no doubt personal in nature. The only way you'll see them come to fruition is if history repeats itself and they break off and make their own compnay much unlike the way Mythic started. Maybe then we'll see something great.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-
The people who dreamed up and designed DAoC are all gone, they were basically one hit wonders. Like so many other developers, they did not know what a good thing they had until they blundered into ruining it. Like so many games instead of maintaining the originality that made the game good, they had to start tinkering and tried to ride the awesome item wagon which just never works in a good pvp game.
They carried over some of the really bad things from DAoC like over powered crowd control to WAR and forgot about how well the 3 faction pvp worked and you have what we have now, the collapse of a development company to just a shell of itself supporting two mediocre games.
This picture accurately portrays what mythic is doing right now. Or maybe i'm thinking of Bobby Kotick?
While it is well documented (over the previous 9 posts) that the Mythic devs now are not the mythic devs back then.
Where are the original Mythic devs? What did they move on to?
