I got mine this morning (european time)
No surprise though... I have a VIP key...

Telara the comic based on Rift had a key included in one of the issues they have released.
They have released 3 issues and the issue 0 (which was freebie introduction to comic) so far , so check out your local comic store to see if they are still in stock.
Can anyone explain how that beta key system works? I just got a key from the german site www.onlinewelten.com and it says "Um jedoch vom 17.12. bis zum 19.12. dabei sein zu können, benötigt ihr einen Betakey, von denen wir 1000 für euch bereithalten." which basically means "To be able to participate from 12/17 to 12/19 you will need a beta key of which we have 1000 for you"
Did I get it right that a normal key only increases your chance to be selected for this weekend beta but doesn't assure your participation?
That is correct. A normal beta key just puts you in a pool in which they select players to participate in the actual beta test event. A VIP key means you get invited to every beta event automatically.
I got 2 emails for some reason saying the same thing.
Granted I do have a VIP key, I just it strange to recieve the same email twice. I think I did sign up for beta though before I recieved the VIP key so I wonder if I got accepted twice.
And no I cannot give you my extra e-mail or what not, as it is tied to my e-mail account in which I use to log into the game.

Yes that happened to my partner also (2 invites). Apparently they made an error the first time and had to resend the invites.
Got 2 emails aswell, it would seem the first email was for the previous beta event so they had to resend it ^^
Looking forward to the weekend, last event was very enjoyable
