I have a Mac and i'm having trouble.

So, I try to download the update, but its says I only have 90 availible volume space and I need 170 or something, I look at the file info, it says it's taking up 5.5 GB on my comp, and I have 90 MB available for the volume. I have about 800 GB of free space on my comp. How do I increase the volume space for the eve volume so I can download the thing and play, I don't know much about computers so that's why i'm asking.

Are you sure its not that your hard drive has 800 GB total space and all but 90 MB is used?

I'm going to give the obligatory..."Stop gaming on a Mac" response so that will be out of the way. I personally hate Mac's but far be it from me to tell you not to use one.

I was able to download and install the latest patch today w/o a problem.  Good luck trying to get that apple product nonsense working.

Um.. how long have you had your Mac? The 'eve-premium_004952_207554-mac.dmg' is an archive file, kind of like a .zip - you are not supposed to run it from inside the dmg.

One of y'all seems to have broken the forum so I can't read 3/4 ths of your statements.

What I think I read is that the Windows based partition on your Apple computer is too small to hold EvE. If I read correctly your Windows partition (probably NTFS base, possibly FAT based) is 6.42 GB large but it has only 92 MB available. Too me, it sounds like this partition is big enough to fit the Windows operating system and nothing else. If it's big enough for that.

If you want to increase the size of your Windows partition you'll have to delete it (if you follow the official way) along with everything that is alreaady in it and make a larger Windows partition. This article gives a very basic answer on that: http://www.everymac.com/articles/q&a/windows_on_mac/faq/apple-bootcamp-windows-versions-drivers-partition-size.html

I think the easiest thing you could do is use the Apple client instead of the Windows client. Either one still requires more than 6 GB of disk space. The system requirements are here: http://support.eveonline.com/Pages/KB/Article.aspx?id=124

Both systems' clients are hear: http://www.eveonline.com/download/
