Shrouded isle for me. It never killed the original game, which many expansions seem to do nowadays, and added alot more content, again not all expansions seem to do that nowadays, 3 new races and 6 new classes and each of them felt different from the classes already in the game so it made you want to give these new classes a whirl.
Considering how good shrouded isle was for me and for others its very weird that the same game can also be attritubed with the worst expansion/s, ToA and NF. Both of them changed the game waaay too much. ToA made each char HAVE to do ML's and change their gear forcing people to do pve content which is a bad idea as the game was based for pvp and NF just destroyed the one part of the game that could be called perfect, the frontiers. The day they changed from the old frontiers to new frontiers was the day they killed the game for many of their players and forced them out the door and into the arms of other mmo's
porting into the Combine, the size of the spires, the community, the adventure..dragon!!
close second would be DAoC's Shrouded Isle, that was an incredible amount of landscape and content.
how much did I love Kunark? My cloth map still hangs on my wall, full of the grease stains from whence I used it as a mousepad @ release. That alone is testament.
Ruins of Kunark and Jump to light speed are the 2 best expansions I've ever seen, JTL wins by a small margin, by adding a whole new gameplay experience to the game, thank god they didnt just feed us 2 races and 5 new zones and then everything else in a new wrapping >< gameplay addition expansions are by far the best.
It's a shame that the people who only play wow and never tried anything else dont know what they're missing, honestly, new races and some new zones is cheesy imo
Burning Crusade. I liked all the zones. They were very well designed and the dungeons were a blast. I also played with the 2 races the x-pack added all the way to max level. Visit Exodar, enough said.
