SE...press release we are giving you some free retainer/space..........fans: "oh really gee thanx,i didn't knwo this was a cash shop game and we had to pay for space".

Money grind was in mules in FFXI and SE saw the golden opprtunity to grind more money out of people using Retainers,it has nothing to do with listening to anyone ,but their pockets.

Market wards still there..BAH!,i really think SE does not believe their game is that bad,i truly beleive they feel that last announcement of staff changes is good enough to fool people. The like to do the same thign as all other devs do and tell everyone how they are listening, umm ya right quit with the lies,i was in FFXI for 7 years,i know SE listens to only a small core of people, not the fanbase.

The game is finished like all games that fail out of the gate, because of one big reason.....It needs a restart from scratch and NOT the game the way it is now. This is not viable to those who have already spent countless hours,so since there is no real fix to this problem,it will just remain a struggling game.

It's clear with the tweaking of market wards they really do believe it's an awesome idea.

They really do need to phase out the market wards/retainer idea. Id much rather have an AH/Mog house. I think they tried to hard to think of an alternative to AH and player bank, and they just out though their selves and turned something good that worked into something thats a complete pain in the rear.

Other than that I enjoy the game a lot.

Waiting for:EQ-Next, ArcheAge (not so much anymore)
    Now Playing: N/A
    Worst MMO: FFXIV
    Favorite MMO: FFXI

I don't believe I'm about to defend Square-Enix, but here it goes.

Everyone complaining that this update is not enough of a change do realize that this update was already in the works before the old development team was taken off the project, right?

Seriously... you can't expect the game to change overnight.  It's going to take a good 2 or 3 months before this new development team can even START making changes to the game.

One thing I find encouraging is how many of the new section chiefs have worked on FFXI. At least that game had some content from what I have heard. Hopefully they can do similarly for this one.

ive played a few mmo's over the years  casualy and that included FF11  for about a year and a half. The one thing i can say is that the games i enjoyed and stayed playing were ones that i got into my character  and wanted to level and see the story unfold. I was really excited to hear 14 was coming out bought the CE release and was just disappointed.  repetative, boring and tedious.  seemed like the only thing to do was craft and you basically have to level all your crafting together because they are all connected on materials needed. the levquests are lame and the thing that i loved best about FF11 the exp partys seems almost nonexsistant.(not for the grind but because it was a chance to chat and meet new people , and adventure to new areas together. ) i havnt even been on for weeks now, maybe in a few more ill give it a try. i was going to quit once i had to pay, but they keep letting me stay for free lol only good idea they have had so far. With the quality of their past few realeases i think this company has lost sight of their what they should be doing in games and is going down hill
