Uldum the last nail in the coffin??

By now, the release of Cataclysm for World of Warcraft is a fact! Now, this is yet another expansion however just like tLoD was for Failha..... *cough* WARHAMMER!
The Land of the Dead was suppose to be the "heart lung machine" for War but it didn't quite live up to the expectations. And now, when the "Egyptian"-styled zone of Uldum is released in WoW by Blizzard one start to wonder if this is the last nail in the coffin for WAR??

uhhhh......uhhhhhh........so because WoW has (another, by the way) desert themed zone it somehow correlates to WAR and LoTD and the "final nail"? This posting makes no sense at all. It's like saying "Tales Of The Desert IV" is also another nail in the coffin since the entire game is in a desert....look, your post makes no sense.....please explain more....
Just like how WoW is going to be the only thing to put an end to WoW WAR's going to be the thing that puts down WAR, not something else.
WAR is killing it self quite well. WOW need not do anything.
Who could have thought that WOW could bring super power like USA to its knees?

I think it's possible for players to play warhammer without being mesmerized by anything that wow incorporates into their game.

It's common fact amongst MMO players that World of Warcraft is the "beginner" MMO for many new people in the genre. It's otherwise known as a beginner "Gate" if you will.
WoW copied numerous other games whilst removing all the things that made it good, you know...challenging, and merely provided a psychological benefit for playing (makes you feel accomplished, even though every tom dick & harry can do the same thing you just did 100 billion times).
If anything, WoW is ruining the MMO genre with the "Instant Gratification" mentality that WoW has instilled in the newer MMO kids. So, saying that WoW is the "final nail" in the proverbial coffin of a terrible game that tried to COPY WoW....is like saying Cat food will rule the world because dogs tried to copy cats since day one...again a TERRIBLE association but fits with the OP's original statement.

And you haven't added anything new to discussion other then same old generalisation and blanket statements regarding WOW and those who play it. I know its hard concept but game is actually fun and there is nothing wrong with copying WOW as long as you do it right.
Look at Perpetuum how cleverly they copied EVE and are actually having success with it. Even copying something takes talent.

In few months couple of more servers will merge, how many will you be left with then? 2? the game which started with almost 30 or more servers? if Mythic /EA s happy with one server in future great otherwise don't be surprised if they shut it down. Right tnow BADLAND is the only server keeping this game alive.

Yeah they opened a new server called "NoLubeAnal" but that didn't stay on either....

Currently Karak-Azgal, Karak-Norn and the german's servers got quite the same (sometimes more) population of Badlands...

I say WAR will make it to it's 3 year anniversy before it goes F2P then the population will swell.
I really hope they do merge the NA servers down to 2. Then I could actually roll some Order characters on a functioning english-speaking server.
Too many servers has always been a major problem, even from the start (lol 40 servers). If they had started with 10 I bet this game would have carried twice the subs. Nothing worse than playing a pvp game without people to play against.
They actually needed most of those servers. They had 800k sales and I remember 1-2 hour ques at prime time to log in to the high pop servers. The real problem came when around 500k of those initial sales decided not to re-sub after the first few months.
They do need to do something for lower pop servers, though I agree. I have abandoned all but Badlands and Norn. Why fight it, go with the herd.

all the free trials will be leaving by now since they no longer can compete in anything in t1 (even without twinking from real account one could have alot of fun in t1) so the real population number will surface now
