Rift: Collector's Edition Detailed

Trion Worlds and the Rift development team have detailed the contents of the collector's edition of the game, available when it's released. Some of the cool contents include an in-game mount, a Wastrel pet, an 8Gb flash drive with the Rift logo and more.

Hot damn, I need a new mouse anyway...might have to cave and get this even though I may not enjoy the game enough to warrant it. Ah well, wouldn't be the first nor the last MMO I blow money on just to play it for a month.

.. but its a the best collector edition i've ever heard of. Anyone whos serious about playing should get it for the backpack increase alone.. never mind anything else.

Well, ok than a cool new mousepad lol. Maybe one day a developer will release an expack with a gaming mouse designed after their game. Still some cool stuff in that CE though. the comic and soundtrack alone are worth it.

Very nice CE, The flash drive is a little meh but otherwise very nice, if I can get some time in the beta might have to pick this up.

One thing that can be assured when someone purchases a collector's edition of any game, they are getting ripped off royally!

Wow, that is actually a good deal for once. You usually just get a minipet and some newb weapons together with an artbook and a rather lame map in a CE.
This one actually gives you useful stuff.

well a 8gb USB drive are usually $25 or more..this the best collectors edition ever...I'm definitely going to grab it.
Looks like this may be the first CE I ever buy. Have never seen the need for CE before, as standard game edition was good enough. But a mount, extra bag space, USB etc...? Still don't know the cost tho....if it is reasonable I'll get it.

Exactly - if the additional cost is only $10-15 more, then I would buy that too. But if it's $30-40 more, then it just ain't in the cards.
I'd bet on standard being 49.99 and CE being 74.99, so 25.00 more.... That seems to be the trend of CE's for MMOs.

Should be cheaper from D2D since you wont get the box items but the in-game stuff is still nice.

I have to agree. FFXIV CE sucked. All i got was a tumbler and a map. Trion is really going all the way out aren't they? this is got to be the best CE i have seen so far. Impressive.
Who could have thought that WOW could bring super power like USA to its knees?
