Well to cut to the chase, when i made my character, i didnt choose the magic kit at start. I chose the fighter, harvesting, and crafter kits. I just got the magic start, but I used 50 points in harvesting
My problem is I am finding it extremely hard to level up my skill in magic on the main land. I have a skill of 30 in melee fighting, but only a 6 in magic. I found that for the first 5 skill levels in magic i should just kill the lowest lvl mob all with magic, no fighting. I would get about 500 xp doing that. Now that I am at a skill lvl of 6, it is taking extremely long doing it this way, as I cant kill a higher lvl mob with just magic, and when i use a combo of magic and melee, i get a whopping 40 xp or so in magic.
Seems to me like I should just remake my character starting out with a magic kit, crafting kit, and harvesting, as i have heard that you already have fighting as a default. Does this sound good or should i just stick with my current char.
Other questions: 1) How are the graphics so great? I use an Nvidia 5200 64mb and the graphics to me look outstanding. Rain, stormy skies, trees and bushes waving in the wind.
2) Is there a way to get more sound? The game seems pretty soundless beside the animal and character noises when fighting, and the harvesting noise. If i turn my speakers all the way up i can occasionaly hear a rumble or wind, but it seems pretty soundless to me. I also have the EAX setting turned on.
3) This may seem like a "noobish" question but can mounts actually be ridden? I dont mean the packers but the actual mounts. I havent seen anybody riding one yet, bu the title "mount" usually implies they can be ridden.
Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the replies TheWarc. I have indeed started using an amplifier and it makes the damage so much more. I felt pretty dumb once i started using it
And i meant that the graphics run great, even on my system. Personally I played EQ2 and the graphics look better on med/high settings in Ryzom than on low settings in EQ2.
its also much easier to level when in a group. The larger hunting groups usually won't mind a caster firing away acid spells. You can level really quickly with a group like this since you should be getting max xp per kill.
Same can be said for healing. Even a heal lvl 1 can allow you to lvl quickly when used in larger groups.
ff is a lvl 250 region, you see that because of the purple animal description and because of the mat sources which you can pull out up to q250
as already said, find yourself a team which you can lvl with, especially at your lvl, magic isn't divided yet, so it doesn't matter if you heal or cast elemental spells, so offer yourself as a healer in the region chat
a guild is also very important, they can give you accessories with some marvellous boosts;)
tip: don't create a new guild, because it won't become big, better find an existing one, the only chance to conquer and hold an outpost (hopefully they'll come soon) is in a bigger guild, furthermore there will always be someone online
good luck to you homin
