In his latest entry into the MMORPG.com Staff Blog, Bill Murphy lets it be known that he's got the blues, the Server Downtime Blues. While he waits for his addiction, DCUO, to come back up, Bill has a few thoughts to share. Check it out!
It reminds me of the early days of Anarchy Online, or more notably World of Warcraft. Back in 2004, when WoW was the hot new kid in town the servers seemed to be down more often than they were up as Blizzard scrambled to meet demand. These were the days when extra time would be added to your subscription for free because you couldn't play for days in a row.

i do hate down times on my mmos..
But its Beta< downtimes should be expected, and right now im downloading a 2.2 GB patch, im sure an update of this size means changes.
Complaining about beta downtimes is moronic. Beta is there to find and fix problems, NOT supply you with free game time.
I remeber in the old days, smashing the keys in anger and trying to log on. Now I laugh at myself to have been once in that state of mind. It's a "computer" game, not a heart transplant. But then again, those were the days when your life did indeed revolve around EQ. lol Glad I grew up.
