Pre-Order Rift get into Beta

FYI-

On the account page where you log in on Rift's site it clearly says that if you have a VIP or Pre-Order Code you get into all the beta events.

 

direct quote :

"You need to be invited to play in the RIFT™ beta events. If you have applied a VIP beta code, or pre-ordered the game and applied your pre-order code, you will receive invitations to all RIFT beta events."

    You can pre-order from Gamestop and Amazon now.  Trion direct sales should be soon.  They just upgraded their site tonight.  No more information has been released by them about when and how pre-order keys will be delivered.

    Gamestop says "Billing does not occur until shipment is processed."

    Does anyone know if Amazon has the same policy?

     

    edit: Also, does anyone have experience with pre-ordering from either of these and having the game and access on day 1 of release or pre-release?

    I know that amazon bills you after the item has been shipped, I pre-ordered several games (though not all were MMOs). I always got my games in time too, as far as I can remember.

    I ran up during lunch hour and pre-ordered the CE from Gamestop and no beta key or anything associated to pre-order, and they knew nothing of this. So I have opened a ticket with Trion about this issue (which they seemed to be aware of since there was already a support thread on it). Awaiting an answer ...

    Steam is a good option if you wait a while.  If anything happens to the game before it's release date and you dont like it, they'll refund you with no issues.

     If you like the extras, then it's definitely worth it for the box set.  Regardless you will get beta and head start and all in game items if you preorder the CE depending on which way you go.
