"Can you run it" site says my computer is fine, but...

When I run the test my computer tests way above the "minimum" line.  It actually almost fills up the bar towards "fastest" but my question is, what is the recommended specs?

Right now I really want to get DCUO for the PC but if my rig won't run it well, I'm going to have to get it for the PS3.  My computer is 2 or 3 years old.  I'm running an 8800gt 512 card.  I'm at work so I can't check for sure but I think I'm running a 2.2 ghz d-core processor with 8 gigs ram.  Is this going to run DCUO?

Yes, but not maxed out graphically. Turn off v-sync and adjust other graphic parameters until your system can handle it.  V-sync locks the maximum frame rate in the game to 30 fps. Turning it off allows higher frame rates and was tested and proven by in-house testers.

I can take that, but how turned down will it have to be?

If you have a PS3 which will handle it way better then your PC, go for the PS3 version. I think PS3 has no monthly fees but alas no "dedicated" pc style servers.

If you can tolerate medium/low settings and 25-30 fps then go PC, PC has controller support anyways and dedicated servers, but monthly fees (standard pc MMO fees).

My PC has 8400 amd phenom, 4g memory, nvidia geforce 8200 is my current card.

With those specs i run the game perfectly (so far) at max graphics. My computers about 3 years old also, i recently got a new video card for other games i want to play with better graphics but ive never had an issue with this game which really impressed me because it looks really awesome.
