So how is the PvP?

Is it totaly open? Can you get the inventory (not equipment) of the player corpse, like shadowbane?

    there are a few places wich are open pvp ( the prime roots) and you can dual others if they agree.

    the expantion offers something more but it is not even on test so not much to say about it realy..

    There is no looting or access to other players' inventory, regardless of how or where in the game they are killed.

    There's open (free for all) pvp in certain areas of the game, which are only used by harvesters now, and are also rarely populated by more than two or three players.

    There's open PvP with some restrictions in an arena, and duelling by invitation (mutual consent) anywhere in the game.

    This game is not designed to be PvP but allows PvP in places where getting raw materials may be competitive. 

     

    In the future when fame rivalries get stronger it might be pushed a little more but its just there as a sidenote at the moment.

     

    There is plenty to do besides kill people.

    to be a bit specific: you don't get anything from doing pvp, you can't steal and you don't get experience, free pvp is only in a high-level area called the roots(pretty much every mob there can be summed up with "badass" and there's lots of them) and there are only two purposes in it:
    griefing
    getting harvesters off sources you'd like to harvest from

    pvp itself can be quite fun when you actually have a good selection of skills and know how to use them, also the terrain is a big factor if correctly used, like i said in another post, powerlevelers won't have much fun here ;)

    There is PVP, mostly limited to duels and arenas with open guild Vs guild, team Vs team PVP in one interconnecting land area called the 'prime roots' (weird underground places with the best materials).

    Outposts are supposed to bring in another PvP element.

    I hope, personally, that that is as far as it goes. PvP tends to terribly disrupt communities and create bad feeling, it also attracts the 'leets' which I don't want.

    Yes outposts should bring in more PvP as an option for taking outposts for those who choose it.  You can have guild wars over them, but this is not the only way to take an outpost if you choose apparently :)

    pvp i found is quite cool in prime roots region its quite sacry harvesting at times inbetween sum guilds fighting away its quite spectacular must say i love it even though i die (harvester by trade) its still fun

    oh yes there is pvp in that game in some areas, and there is an arena in Matis but on the german shards its not very liked (my english is bad sorry for that ^^) if you want to maka pvp you can do this and there are a few guilds who do this nearly every day or week and often after reboots there is a war for the supreme mats because the reboot fills the spots up.
