So I've heard a bit that this game causes a bit of button mashing and mouse stress. Does DCUO have some some of keybinding system where my combos or blocks or leaps can be binded to other keys?

It's made for a controller. I don't know about keybindings, but it uses pretty much any cheap controller natively. My Xbox360 Controller for PC worked great.
I've personally had zero issues with the mouse and keyboard controls and I only used the default. I found it to be perfectly comfortable.
Oh i do use a trackball if that matters.

Trackball? Now that is old school. But I'd still like to know if I have the option in game to keybind. If not I can probably work around it but I was curious.

Oh yeah sorry duh me, forgot the main question.
Yeah i dunno about that myself sorry. I know theres a keybinding option i just never looked into it and as far as macros i dont think i saw anything at all for that.
It really isnt that complicated tho as far as button use. "Button mashing" is simply a reference to the style of combat. Main melee attack is left click, ranged attack is right click and youre asdw movement with 1-9 keys but personally i found myself not having to use many keys past 1 and 2 for main attacks in between clicks. And you dont have to spam slam the keys or anything its just multiple button presses you know?
Well ok ok unless you want to make a melee toon, im pretty sure theyre much more click spammy. My bad! I mostly played magic user stuff, telekenesis, sorcery.
Oh and yeah i totally love trackball man. I never knew what it was, a friend of mine had one and i was like what the crap is this and for maybe 30-60 mins i didnt like the mouse and after that i swear by it. lol
I love the freakin trackball, so precise! I think i was playin Diablo 2 when i started usin one.

Ok then well thanks for trying to help. I guess it doesn't matter either way because I atleast plan on trying the game for thirty days just because it's DC and it seems interesting.

They have keybindings, but it has nothing to do with combos. Combos are done through a series of tap/hold clicks of the right and left mouse button...or controller buttons. That's not something you can keybind elsewhere. There is no more key mashing than you would experience in any other action game like an FPS or a game like Diablo, probably less.
Block is the B key on the keyboard by default, but can be bound to any other key. Jumping is done with the space bar. I assume it can be remapped, but I have never used anything other than the spacebar for jumping. If by leaps, you mean leap attacks from acrobatics, those actually use slots in your power bar and would use one of the number keys. Gliding in acrobatics requires a click and hold of the space bar...at least until you get the rocket assisted gliding.
Thanks thats helpful.
