Hey all I made this thread to call out to all who actually enjoyed the game also to look for fellow players who are willing to keep in touch to start a clan/party to get the full benefit of the game. I was shocked to find 0 threads, and that is a shame since it's really an awesome game.

6 day beta that was almost clouded in secrecy and with pretty much zero promotion.
Can't really expect there to be to much "hype" for it can you?
Also if the atlus forums are any indication, a lot of people couldn't stand the insane ammount of bugs and the grind.
Well of course most people are used to WoW which is a sad excuse for someone to call it a "grind" but then of course these people probly haven't played FFXI either, that is a grind but the fact the game is group oriented I knew plenty of people that thought the game was great despite the bugs. If anyone actually knew about the previous incarnation of PS the bugs are simply because the original developers left it for dead, never fixed a thing I for one didn't like the bugs but I still got far more enjoyment out of it than most mmos for atleast 8 years.
4,000 beta keys available on this site which at least 2,400 was redeemed last I checked. Beta keys were available on many other sites as well so there was promotion.
This is a BETA, which means you as a beta tester's job is to help and identify those bugs. If you want a game with minimal bugs, play a release game. Actually, many games at release have way more bugs then this game does at beta. This game has limited grinding compared to EQ or FFXI. Many of the players were able to get to max level by 2nd day.
With that being said, this game is a decent f2p game. Sure it doesn't compete with most p2p games in terms of graphics, content, etc etc, but it borrows heavily on many of the past sucessful p2p games such as DAOC.
this game is more for old school then anything, after the lvl 20 you will need to make party/groups to lvl faster, also pretty much the game try to push you for arenas and BG for pvp, grafics are older so it should work in a lot of computers too.
so if you expect it have aion grafics or the lame lvls in WoW this game will not work for you, also it have builds like before when in each lvl ou had to upgrade your stats and your ability for you learn new skills, and pretty much if you do things alone and kill mobs on your lvl you will kill it sit for 10-15 seg for mp then start again
and it was a CB bugs are expected if you still don't know that why the hell you wnat be part of a CB?
The developers didn't abandon it, the company they were owned by almost closed down. I've done more than my part in giving Rosso a bad name, but I now feel bad about that as AO's release is absolutely beautiful next to the MY version. the Malaysian service providers suck ass, despite being an internal division of the game's developer they couldn't even get most of the game's significant updates out of the door. The Japanese and Korean servers reportedly had good support and AO's version is supposed to be up to date with those two, so that makes me thing that the MY offering was simply a half ass attempt to get gold farmer from the region out of the the other two versions.
I wont argue about the lack of marketing involved here, AO really could have done more to promote it, but I can't help but feel that they have been on a pretty limited budget for a while now with Neo Steam's under performance (due to issues that AO couldn't do anything about), so not having the cash to shill this game on the expensive sites may be why this was such a stealth release.
Just because there's a worse example out there for grind, doesn't mean the game in question doesn't have too much of a grind factor.
L2argue
then l2complain and bring things who is really a problem not somethig then a lot of people don't care and are smart enough to group and lvl fast, people hitting lvl 30 in less then 2 days is prof of it. and really I don't mind the game, and really I would love people breaking weapon from +1 to +2 on his try again XD
But why? Why do I have to grind? What is there to do if you finally reach that level cap?
Just beating up creeps in group is not fun. The combat is monotonous, just select target and press 1, 2, 3. And with your other hand you can go and make a sandwich.
If i have to do something for months and months, then they might as well try to make it interesting. This is not interesting, challenging or new whatsoever.
no one force you to play it, and second why you need to rush to lvl cap? so you can grind raid instances for years? and don't tell me is difficult, you have a pre made script to follow so where is the challenge on that? you can pretty much make a bot do the raid for you so you can sleep during it.
I can make a bot to grind for me too. That is my point, this game is not challenging at all.
did you play it? do you know you have some builds will help you do diferent things? do you know the main focus is pvp? you complain its not challenging, but tell me what is challenging these days? people like you dumbed down a lot the market then come here and complain its not challenging, elaborated more what is challenging then we can start to work on your shortcommings
learn the combat system, it's actually one of the more interactive ones on the market outside of the action-mmo field. your position in relation to your target will result in more damage dealt (either in your favor or against it depending on who has the upper hand).
hot key spamming is for WoW-tards, your playing something other than WoW so I assume you don't want to perceived as one.
Vindictus has it beat as far as "action mmorpg's" but the pay to play in it is so over the top absurd along with a lot of minor problems like the scaling between characters.
Anyways, didn't see any mention of Pandora Saga on this site (as evidenced further by this being the only POST, let alone thread in the message board) and it's not like the game was crowded or anything, although I only played the last few days.
Saw it on the front page just now so glanced back here, but still...
open beta just started last night!
seething hate for pandora saga on forums is one of this game's gret mysteries, in game we have a massive population of active players who enjoy the game. every now and then some random person will spam the chat box with hate about the game and talk about how they are going to rage quit .... for hours on end, soemthime they will talk about how much they hate it and are going to quit for days .... but other than that everyone loves it!
then you go forums and game sites and it's nothing but hate, more hate than can be covered by the few in game haters, and misrepresentation of the game's mechanics.
... I guess it says something when I'm notorious for spending more time trolling forums for a gam than I do playing said game, yet even I have been breaking that tradition and playing more than I troll.
Don't believe the forum hate! try the game for yourself, it's only 5 gigz to download, and decide if it's to your tastes or not.
I have tried this game, and i will say that it is a game worth playing. It Is a nice change for the fact that it brings back that oldschool feel that ffXi and EQ brought to the table. The fact that you acctually have to group in a multiplayer game has returned. It gives the players from the WoW generation the oppurtunity to experince what it was like to play a mmorpg before everyone started saying "i can solo to the max lv YAY WoW is the best". If you want to play a real mmorpg were the game is acctualy multiplayer i recomend trying this game. The only thing i dont like about it is the main questline is pretty linear, and leaves out the old feel of adventure.
funny part is you can still solo sometimes(like yesterday soloing a lvl 31 mob I was 26) it take time and its not easy, till I get a party then things go a lot faster, and we already have people on the cap lvl, rule there is if you want to lvl fast you need to group ^^
