Forum Banning Continues

Banned for "cross server trolling" whatever that means.  I guess reading and posting is now illegal.

Any post disputing the cu supporters is subsquently erased and the account is now locked out for 9999 minutes.

Aparently you cannot post on any board they own in a general discussion to discuss anything.  Especially if its negative in nature regarding the cu.

If you have been banned post here and why.  Let MMORPG take these matters up next chat and there idea of "customer service". These folks need to be handed a clue with a list of customers.

    I was never banned, but I did have several months worth of posts deleted with ZERO explanation or warning. It was like the moderator just decided to punish me or something. I can only guess the moderator was a bit juvenile and didn't know how to handle the situation any better than that. I pretty much gave up on the whole "community" idea of their forums at that point. All future posts by me were much less thought out and very little in the way of meaningful conversation.

    I was banned for starting a petition to have the damage multiplier system removed. I didnt say anything at all other than a simple sentence asking for removal and others to post in support. I got zero notice and then sent Tiggs a PM asking about it. I mentioned to her who I was...i had spoken to her at Celebration 3 and made comments about how I got banned several times in the past for critical but intelligent posts previously. She asked me to send her a PM if it ever happened again and she'd look at it. I never got an answer back....

    How does this surprise you, in light of the fact that Tiggs has prominently posted that she will not respond to PMs of that type on the Station Forums in the heat of the CU transition war?  All bets are off when it comes to personal and live e-communication between SoE and its customers now.  It's all part of a tactic they are using against those who are unhappy with the state of the game, called "Ignore It & It Will Go Away". 

    And at this moment in time, the tactic is actually kind of successful in that they are indeed ignoring us and some of us have gone away -- to other games or to no game, but away nonetheless.  In combination with the tactic called "Pretend It Isn't There" which involves deleting posts and banning posters, this is actually seeming to work for SoE and its people.  Tiggs is no exception, even if she IS female.

    Get used to this, because I prognosticate that they'll be applying those tactics in concert with their third strategy "Lie Like A Rug & They Will Come", which is designed to attract new marks to shell out cash for the game to make up for any losses the first two tactics have cost them, for some time to come.

    As I see it, you have only two choices at this point in time, neither of which is all that appealing to the SWG faithful.  You can accept this treatment and the new game, bend over like a good mark and try to relax and get used to it.  Or you can cancel your subscription, stop logging in and get used to life without SWG.  Both options are painful and unpalatable, but at some point, you have to make that choice between evils. 

    I warn you that option B is possibly the harder of the two roads, even if you have a severe intolerance to the game they replaced SWG with.  You will secondguess your decision every time someone talks up the CU, even if what they say directly counters your personal experience of it.  And you will, like me, also be subject to the irrational delusion that if you log in one more time that it will all be okay again, even if every rational part of you knows very well that this isn't true.

    But anyway, good luck getting anything but a ban out of Tiggs and her happy EQ pirate dev pals.  It would be nice to hear a real tale of the customer recieving anything BUT another inch up the rectum from the lot of them.

    I just got done reading another "review" of SWG on IGN and it made me sick to see the rose colored picture that was painted by the reviewer. It was so biased I almost puked. It was written from the POV of most of the SoE fanbois and girls that simply says.... bend over and get used to it, your playstyle is no longer needed in this game.

    I'm sorry, but I'd have an easier time getting used to prison rape. At least with that, I'd get something out of it...ok, so that is a twisted analogy ::::12::


    Fortuneately, I have been able to cancel my account and not look back or give it a second thought. As soon as I saw the state in which it was released and the promise of months more of fixes and patches to fix it.... I knew it was time to leave. I've dealt with this from SoE for too long. I did keep up my EQ1 subscription, mostly because a lot of my old raiding friends are coming back for some odd reason. But, I'm still debating if it's worth the pain.

    Although I was one of the more vocal people about the combat upgrade, I never faced a banning on the forums... which surprised me cause I got downright viscious at times. I did get many posts deleted, but that was usually when whole threads were deleted. If I remember right, only about 5 of my individual posts were deleted.

    I find it hard to understand how people can support that kind of mismanagement and poor customer service. I mean, a certain amount of "censorship" does need to exist, but to the extent that SoE has been showing? Even some of the most intelligent "anti CU" posts have been removed. It's as if they are constantly scrubbing a crap filled toilet and trying to tell us it's spotless.

    Some will ask, if you aren't giving your cancellation a second thought, then why do you continue to write about SWG. Probably cause in some sick way, I still have hope that one of these days, the developers will get their heads out of their arses and finally notice that what they have done is not alright. OK, so maybe it's not the developers, maybe it's the top brass, or some other entity. But someone as SoE needs to remove their head from thine arse and get a clue.

    SoE is no longer the top dog in the gaming business. I've been playing WoW (something I said I'd never do) and I just can't believe the difference in service. And yes, I can tell that the new SWG is based on a lot of WoW concepts. At least WoW got it right, SoE couldn't even copy WoW code correctly. You see, eventhough I am a huge Star Wars fan, I'm not going to sit idly by and take it from SoE. I'm sick of their tired, flacid way of doing things. There are options now, unlike 6 years ago. Hopefully some other company will get the SWG contract or SOE will fire everyone and start fresh :)

    Who knows? I do know that I need to get another c up of coffee in me so I can really make some sense LOL.

    I bet you guys were the same ones saying SOE was "lying" since they pushed the CU back (matter of fact I KNOW you were one Adm). You were the same ones saying SOE was ignoring us because they wouldn't give us the CU. Now that it's here and you finally got the CU that you were bitching so loudly about not getting, you're whining about getting it.

    jodo do u even play the game??? i dont understand how ANYONE CAN EVEN ATTEMPT TO SIDE WITH OR DEFEND SOE!! i mean cmon, SOE took a game we dedicated ourselves too beyond healthiness, and the ripped the entire core of the game and replaced with some generic clone. biggest nerf i ever even heard of, and tey still have drones in game playing it........

    you want a clue as to how bad this game is.....i logged in for a server count (im cancelled but paid up for another few weeks) which is pitifeul btw, lowca server is less than a ghost town, i lost exact count but mid day was less than 50 people. anywho, as i was finishin, was on lok (8 people on planet) an old friend/guildee logged in right next to me at the sp, we chatted for a min, told him how much i love CoH etc etc, and then he told me, he had only logged in...to /respec from JEDI to MBH?!?!!? i mean cmon!!! took him MONTHS of grindin his ass off thru the new village system(he had no credit so he had to grind all 6 tree's), and he said he was droppin it cuz it was nearly impossible to grind it in the new system, i wanted to cry................

    he /respec'd to mbh right there, and logged...............

    there u have it, people who have slaved for the much coveted jedi, myself included (1 1/2 tree's left), dropping it flat due to the great wisdom of the devs........

    Congratz SOE, you are by far, my most(only) HATED company.
