Sony Online Entertainment and DC Universe Online devs have let us know that it's still not too late to pre-order the game set to officially debut on January 11th. Pre-ordering DCUO will allow players to access the 2v2 Arena Combat and Legends PvP before tomorrow's release.

DC Universe™ Online is coming 1-11-11! Get ready to jump in when the servers go live on Tuesday 1-11-11 at 7AM PT! If you did not preorder yet, go to dcuniverseonline.com/preorder. You can still preorder through Monday night and get in on the exclusives like the chance to play as Batman in our Two-vs-Two Arena combat, Legends PvP!

You can do that in the game anyway, so what's so special about this so called "enticement?"

In a pair of words: Early Access. :)

Early access? Not unless you count downloading now and being in as soon as the servers go live. And that is only if you pre-order from an online service. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I think the main draw here is that pre-ordering is the only way to play Batman in the legends pvp matches.

I want a mmorpg where people have gone through misery, have gone through school stuff and actually have had sex even. -sagil

A link to 3 sentences on the DCU site.  This is really a new article?  I'm sorry but this feels like a bought and paid for advertisement from a gaming company.

It's surreal how hard this site is pushing DCUO.  Lay off a bit mmorpg.com... people are gonna start asking questions.

This game really isn't worth all this hype.  I wanted it to be good, but shallow content and button mashing are not my idea of what an MMORPG is all about.

Considering even with D2D we don't have our CD keys yet.. just able to preload so don't think anyone will get that "early access" to the pvp things.

LOL why does every thread have to turn in to this... Nothing in this thread even talks about the game play.

It talks about trying to get me to preorder a game I don't like but was expecting too.  Gameplay is the basis of my opinion and I'm sharing it in case someone is on the fence.

Yes but there is 100 other threads that actually talk about game play or someone asking for an opinion on the game.

Saw boxes in several different stores over the weekend, they were not pre orders but full game boxes.  Kind of odd since they usually won't be on shelves until release day.

Nothing wrong with pushing a game you like.   Some of the forum people like the game, nothing wrong with that.  Hope all who like this game have fun with it.  I won't be playing it, but that makes absolutely zero difference.

OMG a game thats not even released yet dosnt have any content, OMG OMG, lol ...All I care about  for now is the combat actually a little fun..

As far as pre oredering, done long ago, but hey a little extra adv. dosnt hurt. I mean imagine an MMO site actually adv, an MMO !!!!!

Espcially one thats from a big company, gee wonder what keeps this site alive, ohhh right MMO makers.  Dont like reasing so much about MMO's !!! , then may I reccoment a different website.

It's not too late to preorder but it's far too late to save this game from being the miserable failure that it is.  Normally I support $15 a month fees because it makes the game better but in this case it's not worth it.  This isn't a fully developed mmo.  It's a button mashing arcade game that charges you $15 a month to play it.  It's so bad though I wouldn't even bother playing it if it was free.  I think this thing will have to change to a free to play model within a year of release or they won't have enough people to keep it alive.

You can order it from game.co.uk or play.com its quite easy.
