How do Iconic powers work?
How do i gain access to them?
There are active Inate powers and passive innate powers... Seems to me that i could use the active powers the same way as normall powers..
But...
These passive innate powers, are they allways active, or can i just select a few of them, or even worse, do they take a power slot on my bar?

I hope I can help with your question from what I remember from the beta. Iconic powers open up at certain levels. Think of it as a third tree from your other two. The difference is you dont need to pick one to get another. At lvl ten I believe the first set becomes avaiable. There is like 8 to chose from and you can pick any that you like as long as you have stat points to use for it. Your stat points are used eitehr for iconic powers or your regular powersets. Then at lvl 14, the next set opens up. You can then chose any from there(as long as you have the points.) One thing that I couldnt stand about the game is their power/spell descriptions. Half the time you had to do trial and error to see what the power actually didnt cause they dont tell you. Most buffs in game I know for a fact only last about 15 seconds.
Iconic powers continue this process. At certain lvls more open up so on and so forth. I would recommend saving points for the later lvl ones and use ur points for early lvling to open up your main powersets. Then what you have left over get the higher lvl iconics.
Hope it helps and like i said the descriptions on the powers are pretty bad. I had to remake guys countless times just to test powers based on range, buff times, ect.

Also sorry I forgot to add. Active iconics are just like active power set skills. And yes passive buffs DO take up space on your bar. Since trust me you ll be spamming them every 15 seconds or so. I got tired of having to spam them so honestly I got to the point of not even using them lol. Its one thing if the timer is like 5 mins I can handle that, but the buffs in this game are very short and TAKE up space ;/

....
Powers in general remind me a lot of Guild Wars... Lets hope all powers have some use in this or that strategy... Combined with the weapon combo's they will make op a torough system.

No, passive powers DO NOT take up space on your bar. They are PASSIVE. means you don't have to use them, they are always on.
At level 9 you get access to i think 12 iconic powers such as batarangs, heat vision, ect. These are cool themed powers BUT the downside is they cost more power than your natural power set powers. So Heat Vision costs more power than a fireball from the fire tree and may only do decent damage.
At level 22 you access to the iconic passive powers. These buff your character into the beefcake final version. think of it like superman could leap tall buildings at first, then learned to fly. Or he used to lift cars above his head, then he could lift mountains. Sorta like that.
Also, Innate powers are powers that usually involve movement and don't require button presses for example, flight has an innate move that when flying down you can pick up speed and smash into enemies. No buttons required, just fly directly down till you see the animation that you've picked up speed and then smash into an opponent and watch him go flying. No button presses required.
