Folks on the east coast, are the servers up yet?

Yeah ... 10 est =/ Just got my key in the mail from d2d though.
They're allowing sign-ups for subscriptions and accounts, etc before 10 am est. So you should definitely plan on getting everything in order a little beforehand if you want to be on right when servers go live.
They got 5 hours of downtime planed to update the log in servers so 10am maybee more like 1 or 2pm

Official soe forums if you would bother to read the official forums. And anybody who knows how these things go when so is updateing stuff knows there is going to be extended downtime that is if they get started on time. And it just not eq2, its eq2, dcuo, all soe games from what I understand the same post showed in all forums inther the news topics. Thats bad because when I log off tonight it means tomoorow there might be a lot of issues with the log in servers, and soe uses the same station log in for all games.

Beginning at 10:00 PM PST on Monday, January 10, 2011, Session, SOE Accounts and Commerce, and the Station Store will be unavailable due to maintenance. We expect the player-impacting maintenance to take approximately 6 hours. The total maintenance period will last approximately 7 hours.
During this time, our Session servers will be interrupted, which will prevent character log-ins for a period of up to two hours, beginning at 10:00 PM PST and ending around 12:00 AM PST.
Players may also be prevented from making account purchases as well as purchases through the Station Store and their in-game stores, if applicable, from around 11:00 PM until 4:00 AM PST.
In addition, this might cause some forum accounts to temporarily lose forum permissions, due to the inability to verify account status while the maintenance is taking place. This is only temporary and normal permissions will return automatically once the maintenance is complete.
Downtimes listed are best estimates and are subject to change. We apologize for this interruption and will resume all affected services as soon as the maintenance is completed.

I don't understand the reference. Wasn't that maintenance for January 10th? Again, please site the place that states January 11th during or after 10 est.
WHat happens when you guys try to log on? It says unable to login check username and password for me not sure if im entering the wrong pword or if the login servers are down?
Wrong username and password. I get that I do not have a subscription for this game.

I bought via Direct 2 Drive and I also activated, however I can't set up my subscription yet - hopefully soon!

They probably won't open the subscription until a little while before the servers open, seeing as how thats nearly 8 or so hours away I think you can relax a bit
I live in Denmark (europe GMT +2) and servers here will go up at 16:00 here, granted everything goes smooth
My guess is they will open up subs a few hours before that.
Steam has a countdown --- currently saying launch will be in 9 hours

Same ... was able to get all the way to the server selection screen. Only to the thwarted by access denied due to maintenance.
Wouldn't it be wicked awesome if SOE blew the MMO community away and opened the servers early and without much fuss.
hey guys, i bought the game from direct2drive, do we get 30 days free?? cos doesnt say it anywhere? but most mmo gives you that? tells me to sub first before i can get into the game. And please tell me the game has lots of content because it have been develop for 5 years now!!

Where do I download the game through station? I preordered there, but see no link. I do however also see my sub details now listed and got the email of payment recieved.
I assume through station launcher, but it's not listed atrm.
yeah when you do your sub the last step is get the option to get the launchpad and download the game. i think they highlighted the section needed but cant remember as i pre-loaded with steam
it doesnt charge you until the end of the month usually, my question is do we get the 30 days free? i know they make u go on a plan first before you can play
yes you get 30 days free and if you change your mind you can cancel before you are charged for the sub
