PvE vs PvP servers. Anyone know specifics?

I am really looking forward to this game.

I have had alot of fun rolling on PvP servers in several past games.

I do not know the differences in Rift for PvE and PvP. Does anyone know or have a link with specific info?

    Open world PvP vs no open world PvP is about all I can think of.

    PVP: Go to opposing faction zones and compete for their Rifts.

    PVE: Warfronts.

    I pvped  and it was alot of fun. Conquering the other factions footholds and defending it.

    That sounds very interesting.

    Were you on a PvP server or PvE?

    You say you conquered other faction's footholds. So you were guardian or Defiant and you went to the other faction's side and killed the quest hub NPCs or what? I am new to this so any info you can give would be great. I understand that Rifts can open and spawn invasions and invasions can put down roots of their own called footholds. Other than that I am a little lost hehe.

    We will pllay on pve and pvp server.Some will be EU and some US
