I really want 2 play an MMO FPS but most games aren't that massive. All points bulletin was a fail. Does anyone know if there will be any good MMOFPS released in the future? Btw: Which game is the best MMOFPS in your opinion atm?

Planetside

May be MAG, if you own ps3.
This, cause it's the only one I know of lol. Was fun too, but I ended up getting sucked into City of Heroes and haven't played it since.
Ah Planetside is not realistic I want a more realistic game. thanks anyway
Global Agenda and APB is getting re-released soon enough.
Yep but in APB you could only group up with 5 people I want an MMOFPS that is more like World of Warcraft.
Then Global Agenda is a good bet, brought me hours of entertainments but FPS's arent for me.
APB although did not seem like a "Massive" gameplay structure until the Chaos servers are released from Gamersfirst. I'd say your best bet is to keep an eye out for FIREFALL. That will be THE MMO(Third Person Shooter) if you can count that. Otherwise wait for Planetside 2 if you want to see your gun close up when firing ;-)
In WoW you swap axe blows to the face with someone for 5 minutes until the person with the smaller shoulder pads dies. Not very realistic. There's not any decent MMOFPS options that I know of, Planetside is the best I can think of. You may be better off just playing a normal FPS game online, they have "progression" and all that now.
Ah I wonder if Firefall is gonna be a cool game.
Well Gearing up and lvling on a MMOFPS would be amazing. I just don't want 2 play an mmofps with Robots or Aliens in it. I hate games like Halo
So I have 2 correct myself. It doesnt have 2 be realistic if its like wow but I just don't want 2 play a shooter like Halo.
Firefall is going to be open world, a true open world with no instances between lands (Like wow's world structure). Read up on it, sign up for beta and it does look like there are aliens or "Creatures" on the world they are in. Like Gears of War only...MMORPG style. i'm sure the PvE world you'll come across humans too, so its not just killing giant rats and little green men. It's also going to be a F2P game and its also from a Dev team which have people from many high places in the MMO world. Lots of Devs from World of Warcraft too.
Thanks for your amazing reply are you gonna play firefall?
Darkfall
Full FPS except when in Melee mode, massive world no instances anywhere.
MMOFPS??? hmmmmm i'd say Call of Duty Black Ops
PlanetSide was like Battlefield and it was incredible for large groups of people on voice. So I often wondered why the game has so few players these days.
I never got into PlanetSide myself because I felt like I couldn't do anything hardly on my own. That is, until I found out you can destroy 5-6 Infantry with an anti personel MAX suit. Then I started playing for a while but I got bored. MAX suits are so slow and you don't have to aim.
It wasn't really an FPS. It was more like everyone uses vehicles and aircraft to get to a base with a few skirmishes here and there. Then everyone goes inside the building and shoots at each other in long hallways. There wasn't much aiming involved. Not to mention the third person camera that everyone uses to see around corners with. I like how Call of Duty games allow people to look around corners if they spend money on buying a camera that they actually have to go place it there to see.
I had fun in Planetside. It was just really dumb how hard it was to kill anyone. You could catch 2 people off guard, shoot them in the heads, but they just turn around and start shooting back.
Black Ops just came out and is faster-paced than the other ones and hella fun! This would be my favorite if I could get adrenaline in it but it can be fast-paced enough to break a sweat during some of the maps.
My personal favorite is Darkfall by far because of the bunny-hopping physics similar to my favorite old-school FPS games like Quake and Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory. The PVP is not often though and dying once can be a bummer, also there is long-term progression and along with UI/controls it takes months to learn. I think its worth it though. Also, this game aims for immersion and tends to bring an adrenaline rush that others do not.
Global Agenda has instant action and progression doesn't take very long but you tend to get sick of the maps. I would probably play it all of the time if it had bunny-hopping, although the jet packs are pretty cool, I do not like how it feels to fall, move around, and jump in the game which is really important for a FPS. The classes are all fun to play and I find myself jumping back and forth from each one although it kind of sucks having a role to fill as I never end up doing what I want to do or I will lose the match.
Man I wish people still played ET . .. that game made me drip with sweat.

Definitely, I been keeping up to date with it since i've heard about it a few months ago. Signed up for beta and watched the very limited gameplay videos they have over and over lol.
I wonder when people are gonna get beta invites.
It's more of a MMOTPS (third person) but Global Agenda is tons of fun and for the price you can't really beat it. There are several hours of gameplay to be had in that game (look it up on youtube and make sure you're into the style though). Lots of teamwork and defined roles.
However, if you like shooters where you can take out 3-4 people at once if you're twitchy enough, then that's not the game for you.
I've been enjoying Combat Arms and BattleSwarm. If I had even the slightest bit of ability to use a PS3 controller, I'd be playing MAG, too.
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein

Surprised no one has mentioned Fallen Earth. its a pretty solid MMO with fps and third person combat which you can move freely between. Try it out, it has a 30 day trial.
My Guild Wars 2 Vids
Haha, was thinking the same thing:D Why not mention the one game that is actually a free world mmofps:)
You want realistic yet you want WoW. Then you don't want something like Halo or any FPS with aliens or robots yet you wonder if Firefall is going to be cool. I'd say first set what you are really looking for.
