New to CoH

in City of Heroes

Hey All,

Im in the process of downloading CoH. I was wondering what server to go on for a new player? Is there a certain power set i should look into for leveling wise?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

    Welcome to the game!

    Freedom and Virtue servers are the busiest servers, so you'll find the most people there. Choose Virtue if you like to roleplay, or just like to see some really well done costumes.

    For a new player I always recommend a Brute or Scrapper. They're self-sufficient, well protected, and do plenty of damage to get through missions quickly. No harm in rolling several different classes to see what you prefer, though. This game is all about alts.

    So true. Freedom and Virture are most populated. Welcome to CoH, it can be overwhelmming at the start, so many choices for character / powers. Have fun rolling a bunch, all of them are great solo and teamed, some more than others like OSF8759 said brute and scrapper are good starter characters. Willpower / Invulnerability is a good defense choiice as they are low maintenance.
