So with that in mind, would you recommend RP to PvP? I like the concepts of PvP, in that if you're in the enemy's territory you're susceptible to attack, but if it's just a bunch of l33t dewds that gang up on n00bs, then I'm not really up for that. Basically, which would you think is a little more "fun"?
From what I understand, there is still plenty of PvP action on the RP servers, so from the ounds of things that would be the way to go for you. I'm used to playing on PvP servers, though, so that's where I went. I played on the RP servers in DAoC and SWG, and maybe it was just me, but the there were to many people that were worried about whether everyones name was up to their standards rather than playing the game.
I think I'm gonna sacrifice the "mature" crowd of the RP servers for the PvP, simply because of the risk factors involved. Sounds more interesting to be mindful of where you are at all times.
The RP servers aren't all that mature anyway. I've seen many instances of people being made fun of (by high-level peers) for roleplaying. It sorta illustrates that about 5% of the server is there to actually roleplay, 20% are there to get away from "the stupid kids" and the other 75% is clearly too dumb to even know what server they're on.
In other words, the RP servers are really no different from the standard PvE servers.
It's actually quite bad, that most people that join RP-servers, don't even have an idea what RP is or they just join to provoke the so-called "nerds" on the server *sigh*

RP servers have the same ruleset as Normal servers. Frankly, it would make more sense to me for them to be on the PvP ruleset, but what can you do?
