I was playing in the beta and i was enjoying this game so i puchased it via direct to drive.

This game is so addictive that i was playing for 14 hours today.Oh god i need to rest.

Well the game  worths a lot cause it has an outstanding combat system that cant make get bored.

The truth is that i dont know how long this game is or how long is going to be cause i want to buy a life time subscription.

I hope they keep update the game and add new content cause this game just rocks. And if it keeps advancing then ill go for lifetime sub for sure.

Additionaly it's a great game till swtor comes out and i like playing this game along with something else cause it's fast and it doesnt reminds me of a boring mmo that goes slow both in advancing and movement.

For the people that like action  this game is a must have.

With all the games switching over from Pay to Play to Free to Play, I think lifetime sub's are a suckers bet...

With it only taking people on average 40 hrs to hit the level cap and limited end game content, I can't see why anyone would want a lifetime subscription.

Oh I'd avoid going for the lifetime subscription, sure it may be neat at first to have to pay no monthly fees... but what happens if you get bored in a month and never play it again? That's like three hundred bucks down the drain man.

Don't know what to put here, honestly.

There I think is the key. I wouldn't just jump into a lifetimer sub. Instead wait and see what they add to the game and what is added to endgame before you pony up.

And don't be scared off by the trend of games going f2p. CoX hasn't gone that route yet, or has it? I really haven't been keeping up with that game. Lotro went f2p however I do wish I had purchased a lifer when given the chance. The entire game is never open to the "freeloaders" like it is to the people still paying monthly so you probably wouldn't want to lower your subscription after having tasted all the game has to offer.

Oh wow $300 that's a lot! The game would really have to have an excellent track record behind it for me to pay that. I was assuming it was more in the area where Turbine had there's... at one point lifer for Lotro was $150 - $199.

Well I'm honestly not sure of the price of the lifetime subscription, it was a guess really. Still even $150 - $200 seems like to much, I'd rather pay a monthly subscription.

Lifetime subscriptions are only 200 dollars.

Anyways, I really like playing the game its amazing and I'll be subbing for a number of months, but I will never buy a lifetime sub.

Chances are, even with the monthly updates,  it would take me more than a year to get my lifetime subscriptions worth.  When new games come out, theres no need for me to stay subbed to DCUO for that month,  and I'll likely leave DCUO for a number of months when SWTOR comes out.  If the content updates aren't up to par I may unsub for a couple months so I have more to come back to.

Such a hefty investment just doesn't seem very smart in my case. Others mileage may vary.

I'd say wait just before the end of the free month & then think hard before you act.

Of course, since I made a post like this somewhat I have to agree with the OP that depending on the person, a lifetime sub makes MORE sense than month/month.

One thing that you notice is that the price of a lifetime sub ($200) is EXACTLY the same price that LOTRO and CO was (among other games). Those games released several years ago under a different economic situation so I'm extremely suprised that SoE used a retro price for a newer game. If they had said $300 I woudn't have considered it. At $250, maybe. Coming in a $200 was a no-brainer for my gaming style/habits as an avid MMO player, especially since I usually sub 2 or more MMOs at a time.

I plan on playing Rift full-time on launch (pre-ordered CE already) and GW2 when that comes out. SWTOR next year when that comes out (I smell a delay, but I don't mind).

There is value in a $200 sub if you fit the criteria. Even though I personally rate the game a 7.5/10 NOW, I think it's easily worth it for me as they have room to improve.

Seeing as how you can max out all 6 powersets in a couple weeks, a life time sub seems a bit... extreme.

If this was a post by an SoE to try and drum up sales, then well done!  If it was indeed a post by a player, well.. its your money.

Just remember what they say about a fool and his money...

You are too funny.  You get on every thread and post as much negative as you can.

Glad to see you are really enjoying it, however if I was playing 14 hours a day I might reconsider playing at all.

But that said, ask yourself, has there ever been a game that you enjoyed so much that you wish you could still play it today?

For me only EVE went for a long run (3 years) where it would have really paid off, (perhaps DAOC as well) but if the answer is no, its not likely that this one game will captivate you forever.

But hey, if you've got 200 bucks to spare, go for it, not that big of a deal.
