Procceser: AMD Atholon 64 3800
Ram: 1GB (not sure what exact brand im getting yet)
Motherboard (not sure yet)
Hard Drive 120GB

Something along those lines. Sound good? Or is there something i should consider changing. What type of motherboard and soundcard and speakers should i get? Around 2500$ total (canadian)

Everything looks good. I've got the same video card as you and it gets high fps, just make sure when you get your hard drive make it a SATA. Mine has a slow RPM and it's going to kill you in the long run if your RPM is slow too.
One Problem-Bad graphics card.Should of got 6800 gt.

I wouldn't necessarily say BAD graphics card.
It's an awesome graphics card
What pizza is probably reffering to are the driver problems associated with ATI.

How come the 6800? The Radeon x800 is suppose to be the best vid card out on the market now and it supposedly runs alot better than 6800 and requires less power than what the 6800 needs.
Driver Problems? Like what? Does it have problems with running certain games or something?

No offense or anything but, The 6800 is actually the best.Have You seen the ratings?

I am getting a new computer too I am also using 2500 (American)
Here is what I am going to get:
AMD 64 3800+
Motherboard: (not sure, but, it is going to be SLI capable)
RAM: 2gig OCZ Platimum Edition
Graphic Cards: 2x Nvidia 6800
120 gig Hard Drive
I am also planning on lighting my computer case up like a christmas tree

The drivers are horrible with ATI. They have problems with the card itself alot of the times, and sometimes can't run certain OpenGL and relaitivaly un-known games. I had problems with the screen moving. And if you are thinking about going into 64-bit windows/linux(dual booting) with ATI, you reall can't. Their 64 bit drivers are a compete joke and I have problems getting linux to run at all with ATI.
Me and my friends after being ATI fanboys for a few years(since the 9700) have returned to NVIDIA because of ATIs bad driver set up. If I were you nooblet, I would go with a SLI system with a cheaper 6800 card(the 6800gt had a better score the the 6800 ultra and the x800xt), and add a second one in a few years when it becomes needed.
"supposedly runs alot better than 6800 and requires less power than what the 6800 needs."
The 6800 Gt takes just as much power as the x800(updated news) and is 200 dollars cheaper. The difference isnt going to be big in games, and you can get a second SLI card when needed.
I guess somewhere along they line you forgot motherboard, hard drive. I would go with a SATA2 drive, and a NVIDIA4 SLI board and X-530 speakers(cheapness).

The plat. edition of the X800 xt is more powerful than the BFGtech 6800 GT ultra I believe.

That's the one I've got . Haven't had driver issues at all.

Just because it is more powerful, doesn't make it a value. The point is your going to pay twice as much as a x800xt for not that big of a difference.
the x850xt is the best :P
The 6800 is crap cause it has crap drivers and problems in some games :P It's also power/cpu hungry
the x800 xt is a few generations behind now.
We got the x850 xt 256 and now the x850 xt 512. Im not sure if the x850xl is faster.....
You must be joking. You have an ATI card. You use Catalyst, the most unreliable and unstable drivers in the GPU market. May I also ask how a GPU can be CPU hungry? Also, if you don't have the 350 watt PSU required to use the 6800, you should not be investing in any quality parts.
