Late game armor and abilities look awesome. Furthermore, the "lulz factor" the company has is admirable.

Well at least while other devs try to look all cool and awesome in their trailers these guys have a good sence of humor. I mean that "You are no longer in Aezeroth" thing and when they lol'ed at the end of this trailer. They seem cool, unlike lets say WAR trailers with devs, that fat guy was so fucking annoying.

    Hmm, world pvp gankage ...

+1 for Rift and evolving from suspicious sceptic to mildly interested fence sitter myself.

I hear ya on that. I basically said screw it and pre ordered it today. I was pretty anti Rift a few weeks ago, but now that I am increasingly growing bored with Cat and Lotro I am just looking for something new. This should at least keep me entertained until SWTOR/Guild Wars 2 or something or other comes around.

Doesnt hurt that my entire guild is moving to this either.

hehe...the ending lawl was funny.    Anyway, semi-open world pvp with some purpose behind it...sounds very good.  I'm going to be particularly interested in trying our 'The Battle For Port Scion' to see how that works.

Though I'm not all warm and fuzzy on the PvP Soul idea, from my digging, it does appear as though some creative tweaking of non-pvp souls for pvp can certainly be more competitive in many situations.

Yeah, I am also thinking of it as an inbetween game. But not so sure about pre-ordering yet. I promised myself on januari 1st not to do that anymore :D

Sounds interesting. Honestly I'm down with optional pvp in themeparks. As long as I can roll on a pve server and play my way without feeling like I have to pvp I'm fine with a full robust pvp system for the people that are interested in that. My only worry is that rift will have contested zones on the pve servers and if that happens hopefully pvers could choose to avoid them.

Not sure if I understood that correctly, but did he say guardians can only defend their world and not attack themselves? That would be lame, because pillaging, burning everything down and taking the women is always more fun than defending!

Guardian can defend their side of the world and Defiants can attack the Guardian side of the world.

Defiants can defend their side of the world and Guardians can attack the Defiant side of the world.

It's like in WoW if that answer your question.

Nice video, port scion PvP looks really great and i'm looking forward to end game :D
