I voted world of warcraft even though I play both. WoW is amazing fun yet so is Guild Wars but WoW is more of a permeating world which I like. Both are similar yet completely different so comparing the two is actually ridiculous. If I could only play one, It would be WoW cuz its just a bigger stronger game but both games are pretty special. RPGs are the shiz and Im glad theres a place like this where people scrap and fight over what ones better even though its completely subjective and theres not such thing as the best game, Im sorry but if you think the game you love is the best thats only YOUR OPINION which like @$$holes, everyone has got.
Hm...GW and WoW...like them both...GW is a bit faster and has an endgame...WoW has slightly more depth (very slight...). More fast action in GW, more questing in WoW...though the quests in GW, IMO, are more interesting. Um...the only big advantage that WoW has is a seamless world.
I like to PvP. It's all I do. I was tyold GW only gets to lvl 20 but its all PvP so sounds like my kind of game. I have not yet played GW but I have played WOW. If you may...please tell me pros and cons if you ahve played both.
Well, PvP in WoW is very random right now. No rhyme or reason to who kills who, just random killing. PvP in GW is very structured. Each PvP zone is a mission where your team goes up against other teams and the winner gets the rewards (haven't done much yet, so not sure what kind...). You can also make a PvP only character that is instantly level 20 in GW. You get access to only the skills you have acquired in your RP character, however. Considering that each class has 150 skills to gather in RP, thats a lot. Also, you can only equip 8 skills at any given time, so you have to really plan ahead and strategize about how your going to approach each mission, PvP or otherwise.

Well I enjoy the PvP in WoW, although ever since the honor system came into the picture its become some what of a gankfest. (But hey, I'm not complaining )
I don't think either is really the way forward for MMO(RPG)'s, neither will have long term replayability without expansions....but I just can't stop playing GW. It's damn good fun in the same way that console RPG's are except you can play with your mates and PvP. It fills a gap that Diablo 2 created, and builds on it. For all it's faults, it's well worth £18. But that's just my opinion.
My favourite MMORPG is Eve Online, it's a shame that it failed to build on early promise and seems to be regressing into part quasi-WoW agentSpaceQuest part insta-gank 300. It still has a superb economy, great graphics and lots of player content, it's just that too much of it seems like a chore than a game.

PvE in general is pretty lame, if you think long and hard about it. You are spending your time beating a severely gimped AI that would lose to a well trained monkey. Best not to think too long and hard why you are wasting time playing games in general actually...

I would have given more arguments if these topics didn't show up every 20 min.

I like em both, but if you put both in front of me and told me I could only play one of them for the rest of my life, I'd pick WoW.
