Anet told Josh he could post it on PC Gamer. And thus, he did.
So it's not a leak since he had permission.
T____T Great, so it's the Logan Thackeray profession. Great for people that like the Warriors, but they're my least favorite genre. I'd by lying if I didn't say I wasn't a little disheartened that's the next one revealed. But still, it's a new profession, and as far as warriors go it IS a pretty cool concept. Painting wards into the air with blue light and healing while still throwing down with swords and hammers. Sort of Paladin-ish, but with less emphasis on healing and more on warding and spell circles.
I was just really hoping for mesmer news ;_;
Ah well, news is news. Can't wait to see the skill videos. Hopefully that concept art of the blue warrior dude summoning and controlling a mace on a chain is more than just for show. It would be a nice spell.

I wouldnt be suprised if it used smite magic in some regard.
Anyways, to those dissapointed not to see the mesmer or some other profession dont be disheartened, they've stated before that whichever they polish and finnished first will get revealed first.
It is great news that the made another class working. I was really starting to worry that we wouldn't see the game until 2012 after all.
Even if they actually made all PvE (not likely) perfect they would still have to balance the game after all classes are done. So I hope they reveal one every 3 weeks or so at least now.
Could be a smiter. I think it will be a profession based on the monk protec line of skills and possibly Ritualist weapon skills. I kind of like the idea.
What I do know is that it will be speculated to death over the next week until Anet puts out the official information.
Sweet, I was right about them releasing the guardian info before mesmer.
Mesmer is one of the hardest classes to balance so I am not surprised.
In fact I would not be surprised in mesmer is the last class they reveals...
I was really hoping for a mesmer or an assassin reveal but any new information on this game is always welcome. I wonder if the guardian is going to be the GW2's version of a paladin or just a more tank-oriented warrior?
Guardian is the lamest name for a profession and they should have released all the returning professions before renamed ones or totally new ones. Anything else is anticlimatic.
I'm kinda dissapointed with the 'Guardian' name of the class. It's makes me feel that this class will be most welcomed in the party. I hope not. I want every class to be welcomed the same in the party for any content. We will see.

Very very very excited about this, Guardian could be a very nice and complex class. I'm feeling smites, ritualist weapon chants etc...and maybe some shouts (like Tactics from the War). And of course they will probably take damage a little better. Can't wait for Thursday!
I knew about this class months ago. I'm pretty sure I read about it on GW1 guru.
Also, the mesmer is a given. I hope they reveal it last. I'm more interested in finding out what the others really are.
Ditto. We already know the mesmer is coming and have a general idea of what it will be. I'd prefer to see the other two unannounced classes.
Too bad it's not a mesmer.
I can imagine the mesmer may be the hardest to implent/balance, since it has always been a disabler and a bit of a reality defier.
