We all know that the racial bonuses as they stand are anywhere near balanced. We know that the Kelari critical strike chance and damage bonus makes them, by far, the best race to play.

Why shouldn’t we have to worry? Scott Hartsman had this to say over at FOH:

I’ve posted this on our forums too – But, agree. What the racials are now isn’t going to be the place they end up.

They’re up for revision by either B5 or B6 (most likely B6).

    Now, its not clear to me that this post is really by Scott.  Still the last line confuses me... At least to the point where I am unsure if its Official.  I guess we can wait and see...

    The racials on the defiant side are way too good IMO.
    I'm not trying to be a hater of the defiant here but in my opinion if people are going out of their way to roll both the dark elf and blueish giant guys just for the racials it needs to be adjusted. Racials are supposed to be a bonus not something so awesome their a deciding factor when rolling a character. If they stay as is there will by 10 defiant for every 1 guardian on the pvp servers (faction population balance means less on pve server) and that would all but ruin world pvp.

    jk.. yeah when i roll defiant i make sure i roll the one with the 5%dmg lol

    I think racials should be removed or just turned into fluff, unfortuantly you can't stop the menatility of players that allows one minor power to decide their race. So easiest thing is remove them all.

    If the racials are going to cause a population imbalance then they should change it.
