A while back when i played EQ:OA i was in a town (for got which but it was the druid town) and i was asking around for someone to cast SOW one me (Sprit of the Wolves, makes u run faster) when i walked up 2 two people. I started to type out my request when i noticed what they were saying. "takes off pants" then the next sait "gets out XXX magizines" then finaly the other said "starts to touch himself" and at that point i was like ok what ever guess i'll find someoen else... Some people are just sick and ya, i dont care how lonley and how little interaction you have with the oppisite sex there is no excuse for trying to have "Cyber Sex" on a video game...

So naturally when i decide to abandon my L2 account i trick him into getting his char to go red,(not the brightest fellow ive ever met), and then i offer him protection ( and i conveniently have Net problems) and i let his character get all his gear dropped from Karma.
now thats karma.
but i do hate two groups of people, A the People who pretend to be chicks just to do what my friend does. B the sick guys that flirt with them.

This is exactly why I play females toons. To coldly use the /report option when needed, hunt the morons down and that type of stuff. I hardly care if the peoples are just rude to me, or KS or whatever, but when they cross that line is when they pay the price.
I can tell you some mages in EQ where quite lames about ''rod jokes'' to my little chantress...and I can tell you I didnt have to use the report option that much...just a little. However, while waiting on the report option, to actually gain aggro on a mob, cast root, then invi, then go share buffs with the lames jerks...well, it was fun, they usually never understand what hit them...and saying you forgive them if they buff you always work(althought they usually feed more stuff to report JUST after the buffs sharing)! Then logging an alternate and checking when they visit bindpoing was entertaining...
I can tell you I was itching to play as a jerk with peoples who train me, but I have to limit myself to only folks who where rude...
Well...that and hearing a girl voice ''hump'' you everytime you hit space bar rather then hearing a male voice! THIS is NOT my voice and it is humping me! It better not be a male voice! Will I ever play a male character? Errr..doubtfull! Will I ever not lie and say I am playing the other sex, dream on, I will catch the lames folks, always fun to hunt them!
The only moments I feel I was doing something wrong is when some gals start talking to me, playing a male character and saying how courageous she think I was to actually playing my real gender as she was hiding behind males toons...yet it renforce my sense of duty in doing it more and I just shrug and restart roleplaying harder.
PS: To any ''mangina'' pretender, the main mistake I see happen is most of them go to the bathroom and come back in 20 seconds...come on guys, a few gals come back fast, but all attractive gals take some times at the bathroom...

When my wife plays DAoC and starts a new character we get game nerds that some how flock to her and give her items. It is very sad. One time we both made new Animists characters and were standing by a portal and some guy runs passed us then stops turns around and gives her 60g and a shit load of items. I laughed my ass off because this happens every time she makes characters. One time a guy gave her 2 plat.

I am not even sure if 10% of most MMORPGs female characters are female... Some male gamers purposely play female characters so that they can have freebies in the game.

He was disappointed to find out I'm a guy, so asked if I had any family. I responded that my home was populated by myself, parents, brothers and sisters, which prompted him to ask their ages. This was getting weird, and not really thinking where this was going (this was my first online RPG), I rattled off the ages of my fam members. He then asked if my 15-year-old sister was cute... Before I could even respond, he asked her measurments, and I was like "Um...maybe we should just take a mission already?" He got pretty pissed when I wouldn't give him that info, and wouldn't play the game. Never heard from him again.

Anyway My Ex, is the reason i quit playing L2, she said it objectedified women and i agreed with her so i decided to max red my cahr and quit.
Women in games in general arent portrayed all too well IMO( i never use this abbreviation), Look at final fantasy for example, even if the female characters are heroes they are always viewed as objects of desire. And i like the jokes about this in unreal tournament 2k4, with the sexy voice isnt made to be sexy imo, its made to make fun of the people who would use that......
But i think the problem is most game developers are men, and in order to have a strong Female appearance in games that isnt like the ones now. The same thing needs to happen as happened with literature which had the same problem. the solution was women finally became authors and the problem got fixed.
i think we really really really need female developers...... Otherwise games will become more and more perverse. I dont think their perverse now but look at the games commonly available 10 years ago, and look at the ones now. They have a lot more sexual references as a whole, which leads of course to the objectification of women. So the more mature games become on average the worse the problem becomes.

my first mmorpg experience was 'wow everyone is so generous' till i realised the men i was alongside werent being given all the cool stuff i was getting. I dont know how guys can play as girls to get help, cos after the 5th time a lvl 5 stands in front of your lvl 50 mellee shouting 'ill protect you' it gets a bit wearing.

Only had one bad experience tho with a 13 year old who after the usual 'wow a rl girl' reaction proceeded to bomberd me with offers of money and items to sleep with him.

all in all it was weeks before he gave up the chase and i still wonder when i see a char with a similar name to any of his mains and walk away quietly

I know that Nintendo of America, and Capcom of America has a good bit of females working there. To tell you the truth, Capcom is a company were they really don't try to make female characters as "objects of desire".... even though it gets to that from those people in Japan. they are an extreme case but a lot of game companies still have most female characters second, and are never usually shown as heroes.
they are usually damsels in distress, temptresses, objects of desire, support characters (ex wives gfs)
very rarely are female characters ever play the main part. or dont fit in as one of those roles.

Ha Ha Ha, Great post. I play female or nonhuman chracters sometimes (ususally would be my 2nd or 3rd character) to look and get the feel of the character. Sometimes I like looking at the back of a female. If anyone acted unpon my character with sweet words, i'll let it pass, but if they talk stupid, dirity stuff or ask of my gender, I'll tell them I'm a male of the bat. I don't even act like a female...lol

It many seem strange, but I actually treat everyone the same (in different catagories like friends, strangers, eneimes...all somewhat similar) in MMORPG's and gender dosen't matter to me.

I know I have made a female character before on a game or to, some of the things that get said to you is just weird, makes you glade for open PvP

But i think the problem is most game developers are men, and in order to have a strong Female appearance in games that isnt like the ones now. The same thing needs to happen as happened with literature which had the same problem. the solution was women finally became authors and the problem got fixed.
i think we really really really need female developers...... Otherwise games will become more and more perverse. I dont think their perverse now but look at the games commonly available 10 years ago, and look at the ones now. They have a lot more sexual references as a whole, which leads of course to the objectification of women. So the more mature games become on average the worse the problem becomes.

my first mmorpg experience was 'wow everyone is so generous' till i realised the men i was alongside werent being given all the cool stuff i was getting. I dont know how guys can play as girls to get help, cos after the 5th time a lvl 5 stands in front of your lvl 50 mellee shouting 'ill protect you' it gets a bit wearing.
I still play girl chars and if anyone tries to twink me, will just walk away
Only had one bad experience tho with a 13 year old who after the usual 'wow a rl girl' reaction proceeded to bomberd me with offers of money and items to sleep with him.
cue / ignore upon which i was followed to ts. cue ts ban. cue a plethora of alts pming me followed by a change of ip to get back on the ts
all in all it was weeks before he gave up the chase and i still wonder when i see a char with a similar name to any of his mains and walk away quietly

To tell you the truth, Capcom is a company were they really don't try to make female characters as "objects of desire".... even though it gets to that from those people in Japan. Cammy and Chun Li, don't think so. I just always say they can kick high and their costumes made sence...

i should have specified. i mean its developers like rockstar that are the probelm.
they are an extreme case but a lot of game companies still have most female characters second, and are never usually shown as heroes.
they are usually damsels in distress, temptresses, objects of desire, support characters (ex wives gfs)
very rarely are female characters ever play the main part. or dont fit in as one of those roles.

Ha Ha Ha, Great post. I play female or nonhuman chracters sometimes (ususally would be my 2nd or 3rd character) to look and get the feel of the character. Sometimes I like looking at the back of a female
I don't even know how some guys can play as a female to get help and goods. I remember one guy here admitting that he did use the method and he was sorry for it, but what he taken can't be returned
It many seem strange, but I actually treat everyone the same (in different catagories like friends, strangers, eneimes...all somewhat similar) in MMORPG's and gender dosen't matter to me.
BTW, I'll slap him by malee or shoot him by range....but I don't know his username...
