anything i can do to up chances of getting into beta?

in Rift

the title says it all. i applied for 2 other betas in my life but never got invited. am i doing something wrong or just unlucky? :(

    Try to google around for a VIP beta key, some sitess might have them.

    You are probably unlucky, Rift is giving out many keys now, you probably get one next time but check around after sites that give out keys anyways, never hurts.

    thanks. i applied on this one website. giving away 1000 keys and just started today. it says first come fist serve and a really hope im not too late. pray for me haha im keeping my fingers crossed still

    Loke666's advice is good. The only other ways I am aware of don't fit my ethics so I won't say anything about them.

    You are just late to the game so to speak.

    I signed up on Riftgame.com a while back and got the newsletter that told me of upcomming changes and any news. Anyone that got that newsletter also recently recieved VIP codes that allow 25 people to get into the game using those codes. So everyone that has been following this sight has pretty much gotten in because they have been given one of those access codes from a newsletter person.

    The problem with giving out the code over the open forum here though is that all the 24 extra spots will be used up so people stopped posting as much. I have given my code to several friends and still have a few friends that need to use it or I would publish my code for people to use.

    There are soooo many servers in the game and a huge chunk of them are close to capacity. If they are like many servers they probably have a population of 5k to 10k each so for them to be at capacity shows this beta is one of the most popular betas in recent memory.  I know they started with around 20 servers and opened up a bunch more. If the servers are 10K at max then we could be looking at 300k or 400k beta testers which is quite a nice test of the companie's bandwidth and server load and stability. I know I have been inmpressed so far with the whole thing.

     did you apply it to your account?

    If so, it make take them awhile for them to send an email out to you.  You might get into this Beta, but I wouldn't get my hopes up too high.  You will get in for sure the next event.

    You do have to wait till u get an Email telling u that u got invited once u got that just follow the Link didnt take long to get the Mail for my wife so just keep checking your Email

    Once you get the email log into your account and accept the EULA.  This will allow you to download and patch the game .Good luck.
