my thoughts about RO

It's very single-sided. You always do the same. kill & kill & kill to get the lvls, and thats about it...
Sometimes join a group, and very very sometimes you can go out and go kill a mpv it gets borring after 1 month that for sure because of the lack of game play repeativly-game-play. There's just no joy in only kill kill and some pvp, with little rpg, quest sucks like hell. the few quest there ar..
After 2 months you realise how shitty the graphics ar with it's cartoonish look-a-like

This is a good game to play on a free-shard, maybe. and for a few months, maybe. but to pay and actually play it full year means ur gayness is uber

Would it be justice for holy to conquer evil?

         i admit, i played on a pirated server before, but really RO really isnt an MMORPG, its more like a role playing game online. Really after playing pirated game there isnt much to do, very little items at all. If you go to the RO site, it pretty much lists 90% of the items or all of them!! Damn if a site list all of them thats bad. If you look at EQ, it has like a million items and quest. But i seen some videos and stuff about an RO 2 i think, and its 3rd person view, unlike RO 2d kind of viewing sigh. Well this game is just fun for awhile, but me and friends got bored fast. Not to mention your playin game that doesnt get updated like a year later. The korean version had the Juno update for a long time, the Pirated servers were better and funner then the actual gravity servers. Just hope there is a RO 2, it actually looked like a mmorpg.

    yup, there is nothing to do but level and pvp and gvg. It doesn't have any place where you just hang around a sit and theres not many events that go on a day like what graal has. Tons of events and you can get stronger and you can chat with people ingame.

    Not to poke fun or be mean but I cannot believe how badly you contradicted yourself.

    Personally I find WoE awesome and leveling is fun, even though I spend hours on my own in Underground my guildies keep me company. I don't understand the last part of your post, are you saying you can't talk to ppl ingame and you can't get stronger? If so I'm just checking that your talking about RAGNAROK ONLINE? Because you can do all of the above in RO.

    Personally I love RO, you say all you do is kill kill kill, well sorry to tell you this, but you do that in all mmorpg's sure some have a lot of quests which usually just tell you to go kill something a lot of times or run somewhere really boring...... I like RO's Stat system and Community among other things, I just came from WoW and personally right now I could not go for another all 3d game, can only take so much. Your not going to find much else from killing stuff in any rpg.... Though it does get boring after some months in the game... lvling... but I always seem to go back to it, missing certain things from it that are not in other games or just don't feel as good. Pvp is alright in RO could be better, but is better than some other pvp in other games. I find myself coming back to RO, Guild wars felt really dull and limited in many ways and WoW was fun for a long time though it comes down to having as much grind as RO does with quests which go into the grind catagory in my opinion. Right now off and on from many games, but RO is better than most say in my opinion. - Enjoy.

    amen... i played since the beta version and quit for school and my job

    and im going back to ragnarok.

    ragnarok online is probably the best mmorpg i've played

    the other mmorpgs are too big and too demanding

    I've played it for a couple years. note that i have played Guild Wars, WoW, EQ2, L2, Maple, FFXI, etc, and this is the one game that keeps calling me back. the way that u can mold your character by choosing each stat too level up makes your characters very unique. and the way you have a job level and get to choose which skills to raise it awesome.

    and how can you say ragnarok has very little items? ur a n00b for saying "oh i played on a private server i know everything and have experienced everything about RO". STFU, you know nothing. RO is the only game I know that has hundreds of items that can be customized with hundreds of cards, making for very unique items that actually MAKE THE DIFFERENCE when you equip them.

    And how isn't there a place to chat in ragnarok?? ever heard of prontera? its obvious most of the people giving this game a shitty rating haven't even tried it at all, so please people, unless you have actually walked out of the first town, don't talk shit about a game.

    ::Game Played::
    Guild Wars, World of Warcraft, Everquest 2, Lineage 2, Ragnarok Online, Maple Story, Mabinogi, & Final Fantasy 11.

    I personally like RO with the 2d anime style and such, and yes you're right there is Prontera, tho if you're playing at euRO and go to Prontera or the south exit...well you wont have much fun sitting there since nearly every1 there will either talk german or doing love emotes 24/7 xD

    Ohh darn its infected RO.  One reason I stick with RO is because everyone isnt about sex sex sex.  The reason I left most other games is because everyone else was constantly horny and it was pretty annoying.

    Anyways the strongest thing RO offers over other games is its chat system.  Its easy to communicate and its very simplistic.  The problem with the setup is if it went 3d the ease to chat may not be preserved as well.  But then again it may break the monotony that holds this game back, and its why I think Gravity decided to make RO2 in full 3d; since its alot easier to update a 3d model then it is to update a 2d sprite.

    I've played RO for over a year now, and have lvled up a few characters to their 80's and even 1 to his high 90's.

    RO is a good game in a way. It's simple and fun, plain and simple. The ability to customize your stats and equipment, and appearance appeals to me, but WoE and PvP in my opinion, are what attract me to the game though.

    On the downside, RO is repetitive. In your high 70's or 80's, soloing is slow. At only .1% per kill, from high 70's to 80's, and around .01% in your 90's, it becomes very boring. At this point you're reduced to either leeching from some guild members or partying with someone in a guild dungeon or mvping as the fastest ways.

    RO i must admit is a good game if you have the time and dedication for it.

    RO is a game that loses it's novelty the more you play it. It's also a game that forces you to make some friends once you hit the high levels. Having a well balanced party fight stuff together is alot easier than killing stuff on your own. It's fun when you first start out, but the more you play, the more you lose interest. Like a veteren will probably be like: "Oh look, a poring, i wonder if i can hit 1000 on it by punching". While a newcomers reaction will probably be like, and i'm not exagerating: "OMG. WTF IS THAT. P-O-R-I-N-G. THAT SOUNDS SCARY. LOOK, IT JUST ATE THAT SWORD ON THE GROUND. RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!". now if you can't see the difference in that, well then that's just sad. It's fun, and DB fests in small caves are fun, it loses it's novelty overtime.

    I 2nd Vanchau's comment, I've also played FF11, CoH, EQ, WoW and Guild Wars (by saying played I actually mean I own them not just played a stupid trial) and Ragnarok Online is a great MMORPG, yes it's a grind-fest but if you find a good, helpful guild you'll be alright, I mean, I stayed with this game just because of the community (at least my guild, I met a lot of jerks too but you can find those everywhere). I say this is a great "side" MMORPG when you want to take a break from your main MMORPG since you can pay $8.99 for 30 hrs a month. image

    I played RO for 3.5 years and i have to say that it is by far the best mmorpg on the market if you want a game thats SOLID! The thing that ppl doesnt understand about ro is that u have to be very dedicated to it to actually get somewhere. Everyones complaining about the hack and slash and most ppl cant handle it and they whine like hell about it.. RO takes time and its hard.. not like EQ, EQ2 or WOW that id say are newbie MMORPG's or for ppl that havent had any experiences in mmorpgs earlier. Since u can reach the max lvl quickly and farm bosses that drop great items with 50-100% drop chance. Well that makes the rare items not so rare and the lvling is so freaking easy that u can master it within a month. It took like 3 months of very dedicated playing to reach lvl 90 in RO and the equipment that the char is using took like 1 year or more to get but thats like +8, +9 equipment

    If u cant handle RO then u should probably crawl back to an mmorpg that suits your choise of game.

    ive played: Ragnarok Online, EVE Online (Great game), Everquest (max lvl), Everquest2 (max lvl), World of Warcraft (max lvl), Lineage2 (Great game), Anarchy Online, Planetside, Guild Wars, RFOnline, Priston Tale, Tantra, StarWarsGalaxies, Rose Online, Neocron 1 & 2, Horizons, Dofus, City of Heroes, Saga of Ryzom

    and i must say that RO was the best since its like the only mmorpg with a great stat/skill system :)

    Well ive bragged and tryed to convert ppl enough for today

    Bye ::::28:::
