Well see, I have this toon in EQ2. He is a lvl 20 ranger. I messed him up real bad and lost all my money and armor for him for another character. So I kinda put myself in a situation where it was impossible to get money other than begging, which wouldnt of worked anyways since i needed a good amount of money
I am sure most of you figured it out by now with the thread topic and my situation.

I really didn't want to, but I felt the choices I had like making money off another toon was too hard ect. I am not trying to justify (yes i am) what I did. I bought 200gold for 33 dollars. Luckly getting the money and buying good armor and new weapons with it. I DID feel like it was money well spent. Of course I will probably never do it again since I felt like this was one of those "Never Happen Again".
Well, after all that now I can enjoy the first Character I made with all the preorder stuff from him. Please don't hate me for doing it seening as how I was on the other side bashing it along with others.

im pretty sure most people have/been tempted to go over to the darkside atleast once. Like when my gf's acc was banned from l2 for wrongfully accused of hacking we were thinking about ebaying another char but instead someone jsut gave her a new acc from allie which worked out good.. but sometimes its extreme circumstances like that.. which may tempt you to "ebay" in order to grab back a status you once had.(at her level took months to get there)

wow dont make such a deal over $30 -_- the only not understandable thing would be like on SWG people selling jedis for $5000 each o-o. yeah but theres nothing wrong with buying stuff in games for a bit o cash.
For casual gamer who have $$$, and wants uber stuff and do not have time to work for it... ebay sounds like a good option...
As long as you really like the game and the stuff you purchase, the "Darkside" would be a good choice for you!

For whatever it's worth, IMO what does it really matter ? When developers continue making games so heavily dependent on these virtual economy's, how can you blame people for taking and easier/simpler road. Whats' $30.00 compared to the enjoyment of seeing that much gold in your pocket and not having to worry about whether you afford this or that, or whether your able to compete with those who have been lucky enough to earn their gold with lucky drops or good group outings.
I've yet to use a gold service but I can certainly see the appeal and as long as developers keep trying to mimic real life economy's, they will only get bigger and bigger.
