City of Heroes: Spring Fling Coming

SBFordSBFord Former Associate EditorMember LegendaryPosts: 33,129

Paragon Studios has announced that the annual Spring Fling event will begin on February 10th and run through March 6th. Players can group together to complete several event-specific quests that will yield costume pieces, badges, and temporary powers. Also, don't forget this weekend's double XP event to gain a few levels prior to the Spring Fling.

That's right, with winter wrapping up it's time for our annual Spring Fling celebration! This is the season of love, and that means heroes and villains will need to embrace those fuzzy feelings and work together. Co-op teams missions will have players venturing to the Well of the Furies, retrieve Aphrodite's girdle, and stopping a dimension-hopping goblin. And as a reward for your deeds, there are various costume pieces to unlock, badges to earn, and temporary powers to be bestowed!

I'm still waiting for news of new powers rather than these overused generic events. Namely polearms. Seriously, it should have been in the game when it launched or at least a few years ago. They have whips now, but no spears, scythes, and bo staves? That goes for many other games too, its like game devs don't know that spears exist, just stupid swords and bimbos.

    No polearms?

Maybe because it's a superhero MMORPG, not a fantasy MMORPG...

I agree with Arch... it's a Superhero game!  NOT fantasy!  Personally I'm enjoying all the latest changes they've made to the game.  I've been playing since the game started in 2004 so I know how far they have come.  They're still behind WoW, but not like they used to be.

Seriously looking forward to this event.  Now I'm logging back on to finish the Xmas event stuff because it's going on until the 30th!

Collapsable Staff = a type of polearm. Many hero's use Staves!

What's that?  CoH recycling the same gorram material year after year after year?  Noooooo, can't be....  *rolleyes*

And RE: Archiviste & kdevitt--I highly recommend you go back to the material CoH is supposedly based on.  Comic books.  I suspect Nightwing, Robin & Gambit (just the characters I can name off the top of my head) will be very upset when you tell them their silly little weapons don't exist.
